Edit summary[edit]
When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:
The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.
Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field, especially for big edits or when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. A tag has been placed on Pickles Park, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.
If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of Pickles Park and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. In Defense[edit]
I made a case that his was the first use of various technologies in the formal planning process and thus an historic event. The editors disagreed. Once the park is completed I will again attempt to place this historically significant event on Wikipedia.

NYC Meetup: Saturday, December 4[edit]
Our next Wikipedia NYC Meetup is this weekend on Saturday Dec 4 at Brooklyn Museum during their awesome First Saturdays program, starting at 5 PM.
A particular highlight for the wiki crowd will be 'Seductive Subversion: Women Pop Artists, 1958–1968', and the accompanying "WikiPop" project, with specially-created Wikipedia articles on the artists displayed on iPads in the gallery.
This will be a museum touring and partying meetup, so no excuses about being a shy newbie this time. Bring a friend too!

Document Measurement Size[edit]
I was looking at this map today - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Manatvs_gelegen_op_de_Noot_Riuier.jpg - and could not find any indication of the physical size of the original document. The "no larger size" notation did not indicate if perhaps I should go to the physical document for greater detail. And perhaps it didn't indicate its location. Which would also have helped.

Tomlzz1 (talk) 01:43, 23 April 2012 (UTC) My contribution at the edit-a-thon involved improved maps for New York City neighborhoods. The initial (test) changes are presented on the Jackson Heights, Queens neighborhood. Several helpful changes were identified:
- A specific label for the map is needed, initially I've used "Map of New York City"
- There is an existing "hot spot" below the maps under "Coordinates" that is not easily identifiable. I've recommended an improvement to his link.
- Added to Recreation a new playground in P.S. 69
