County Londonderry[edit]

Please refrain from changing references to County Londonderry to incorrectly say County Derry. It is a common misconception that County Londonderry used to be called County Derry when in fact there has never been a County Derry in the history of Ireland. County Londonderry was formed from County Coleraine and parts of Tyrone and Fermanagh. Additionally the details of the naming can also be found at the Ireland Naming and Style guide, WP:IMOS. Continued alteration of references to County Londonderry to be County Derry is considered vandalism and may result in a removal of editing privileges. Please read the above articles and refrain from continued alteration of the county name. Thanks. Canterbury Tail talk 14:56, 25 August 2013 (UTC)
