Joe rogan edit[edit]

Hi, how are you? Do you know if there is any other information on Joe Rogan's US open Taekwondo tournament achievement? Like style of Taekwondo that is was achieved in? I can't seem to find him in the wtf US open standings. Thanks. Nothingbutideas (talk) 18:08, 8 February 2017 (UTC)

Hello, I reverted that edit because it contradicted the information presented in the source cited. If you have a source that says otherwise, or doubt the credibility of the source cited, please start a discussion on the talk page. I don't know anything about the subject - as the page is protected under pending changes protection, edits by new users such as you come up for us reviewers to review. — Train2104 (talk • contribs) 02:27, 9 February 2017 (UTC)

Declined speedy deletion[edit]

Hi, I declined your speedy deletion nomination of Chettil Vettiya Bhagavathy Temple because it is not within the scope of A7 as it is a building. Thank you. Appable (talk | contributions) 18:58, 9 February 2017 (UTC)

New page reviewer granted[edit]

Wikipedia New page reviewer.svg

Hello Train2104. Your account has been added to the "New page reviewers" user group, allowing you to review new pages and mark them as patrolled, tag them for maintenance issues, or in some cases, tag them for deletion. The list of articles awaiting review is located at the New Pages Feed. New page reviewing is a vital function for policing the quality of the encylopedia, if you have not already done so, you must read the new tutorial at New Pages Review, the linked guides and essays, and fully understand the various deletion criteria. If you need more help or wish to discuss the process, please join or start a thread at page reviewer talk.

  • URGENT: Please consider helping get the huge backlog (around 15,000 pages) down to a manageable number of pages as soon as possible.
  • Be nice to new users - they are often not aware of doing anything wrong.
  • You will frequently be asked by users to explain why their page is being deleted - be formal and polite in your approach to them too, even if they are not.
  • Don't review a page if you are not sure what to do. Just leave it for another reviewer.
  • Remember that quality is quintessential to good patrolling. Take your time to patrol each article, there is no rush. Use the message feature and offer basic advice.

The reviewer right does not change your status or how you can edit articles. If you no longer want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. In case of abuse or persistent inaccuracy of reviewing, the right can be revoked at any time by an administrator. -- Samtar talk · contribs 08:15, 15 February 2017 (UTC)

New Page Review-Patrolling: Coordinator elections[edit]

Your last chance to nominate yourself or any New Page Reviewer, See Wikipedia talk:New pages patrol/Coordination. Elections begin Monday 20 February 23:59 UTC. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 08:17, 19 February 2017 (UTC)

Hello. It seems to me that "PROD is only applicable to mainspace articles, lists, and disambiguation pages; it cannot be used with redirects, userspace pages, templates, categories, or pages in any other namespace". So you would need to remove all the PROD tags you have put in userspace. Thanks and regards, Biwom (talk) 07:41, 20 February 2017 (UTC)

Ah wait there might be something I'm missing... Biwom (talk) 07:43, 20 February 2017 (UTC)
WP:BPROD "This process applies for both user books (usually located at User:USERNAME/Books/Booktitle) and community books (those found in the Book namespace)." — Train2104 (t • c) 07:45, 20 February 2017 (UTC)
Yes, you are right, sorry for the disturbance. I just wish the BPROD did not add hidden category "Proposed deletion" to the article, since this is not proposed deletion per se. Thanks and regards, Biwom (talk) 07:49, 20 February 2017 (UTC)

Betrayal (album)[edit]

I think I see where the confusion came in for this article. The article was moved to the current page in 2011, with the "original" version deleted in 2008. THat original version however was for a completely different band, and has no connection to this article. I removed the tags on the page for that reason. RickinBaltimore (talk) 13:48, 21 February 2017 (UTC)

Ah, got it. Did you also mean to remove the PROD tag, which wasn't placed by me? If the article deleted at AFD has no connection to this one it shouldn't be ineligible for PROD. Is there a way to search the move log by target page name? — Train2104 (t • c) 14:09, 21 February 2017 (UTC)
I did as well for the prod tag. As for the move log, here's the edit: [1]. RickinBaltimore (talk) 14:18, 21 February 2017 (UTC)

New Page Review - newsletter No.3[edit]

Hello Train2104,
Wikipedia New page reviewer.svg

Voting for coordinators has now begun HERE and will continue through/to 23:59 UTC Monday 06 March. Please be sure to vote. Any registered, confirmed editor can vote. Nominations are now closed.

Still a MASSIVE backlog

We now have 350 New Page Reviewers but despite numerous appeals for help, the backlog has NOT been significantly reduced.
If you asked for the New Page Reviewer right, please consider investing a bit of time - every little helps preventing spam and trash entering the mainspace and Google when the 'NO_INDEX' tags expire.

Discuss this newsletter here. If you wish to opt-out of future mailings, please remove yourself from the mailing list. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 15:35, 21 February 2017 (UTC)

Oh my god there are so many of them. I keep thinking it's over and it's not over. It's like I'm in WikiPurgatory. ♠PMC(talk) 16:08, 21 February 2017 (UTC)

A little too late now, but could've used Special:Nuke... — Train2104 (t • c) 16:19, 21 February 2017 (UTC)
Trust me, I tried, but it only works for recently added pages. Most of his stuff is from 2014 so it doesn't show up. ♠PMC(talk) 16:28, 21 February 2017 (UTC)

Help retrieving deleted article/tips[edit]

Hi Train, can you please send me the FoodTank page (Food Tank) that was deleted last week? I'm working hard to figure out how to improve it so that it doesn't get taken down again. I would greatly appreciate any advice you have! Thank you so much. SMH425 (talk) 21:08, 21 February 2017 (UTC)

The page wasn't deleted, it was merely converted into a redirect. If you go to Food Tank and look at the page history, you should be able to see your original article. — Train2104 (t • c) 21:43, 21 February 2017 (UTC)
Appreciate it, thanks! Is it still possible to create a separate page or would it automatically be flagged again? SMH425 (talk) 22:49, 21 February 2017 (UTC)
Yes, if you want to try to create the page again, you may do so. Just make sure to delete the #REDIRECT line on top. Tagging for deletion is not an automated process, it is done by a human. If you write a neutral, well-referenced article; it won't be tagged for deletion. — Train2104 (t • c) 02:30, 22 February 2017 (UTC)
Thank you! SMH425 (talk) 00:01, 23 February 2017 (UTC)

Thanks for help with image[edit]

I just wanted to say thanks for informing me that the image of Justin Forsyth I had uploaded did not fulfill the requirements of free use. I have replaced the image of the subject on their wikipedia page with another image I have found on Wikimedia commons. -- M.Kayali (talk) 21:37, 22 February 2017 (UTC)

Delete file[edit]

You can go ahead and delete this file, I didn't see that it was labeled incorrectly.--ZiaLater (talk) 00:36, 24 February 2017 (UTC)

File:Wang Ziwen 中国电视剧品质盛典.jpeg[edit]

The file was deleted before as File:Wang Zi Wen Festival.jpg. The guy uploaded the image (@ThanhPeters:) seem did not response any English warning but Chinese (but he had significant contribution in Vietnamese wiki). Something need to do to tell him either in Chinese/Vietnamese or just plug the hole by other method. Matthew_hk tc 04:10, 28 February 2017 (UTC)

File history

Hello, I've gone ahead and replaced the deletion notice with an {{OTRS pending}} tag, which will prevent deletion until the OTRS (volunteer response team) has had a chance to review your email. This may take a few months. However, I should note that merely permission to release an image for use on Wikipedia is not enough, we need permission to release the image for the world to use under the CC-BY-SA license - in other words, anyone can use the image, for any purpose including commercial ones, so long as they give you or Tisha credit. When the OTRS team replies to you, they will discuss this further. As I am not an OTRS volunteer, I cannot expedite this process. — Train2104 (t • c) 14:31, 28 February 2017 (UTC)
