Thank you again, that notice you have placed on the article will help eliminate the constant stream of additional unsupported and spurious commentary that complements the observations still present in the body of the material. BTW, Trevor, are you a writer yourself? I do need an article for our aviation trade journal on the trials and tribulations of an AirMed (MEDEVAC) pilot. Interested? Port Columbus suggestions

[edit]

Thank you for your review of the Port Columbus International Airport article. I edited the article per your suggestions and believe it is much better because of it. My only question is that I have no idea what NOTOC means. Also, you say it should be removed because the page is long enough to require one? I do not understand. I am sure I will figure it out as soon as I finish this, but your comment would be appreciated. Thanks a lot. Polypmaster 22:55, 4 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Told you. I am dumb. Somehow I knew the page looked odd at the beginning but didn't notice the TOC missing. All fixed. Thanks. Polypmaster 22:59, 4 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding Clickair

[edit]

Hello. I've seen your name on the WikiProject Aviation, and since I don't know the appropriate template to insert to this article, I'd say I just bring it to your attention instead. This is an article about a LCC in Spain, and I see that it has no WP:AVIATION tag yet on its talk page, and it is highly un-standardized. I don't see any editors editing it that are associated with this project. And since I don't know much about this airline either, I guess I just want other editors to improve on it. Many thanks. /ɪlεktʃɹɪk bluː/ 18:03, 17 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Template

[edit]

Hi, the template Template:BAE Systems evolution is based on a previous template I developed; Template:British Shipbuilders evolution. It was inspired by Template:Modern North American Ford trucks, but with quite a few of my own minor adjustments to suit it to my purpose. I am reliably informed that the latter is a pretty standard way of representing model lines on WP. Emoscopes Talk 23:38, 20 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

nunavut-

[edit]

well obviously there are people in nunavut. Just not enough to warrant a top importance on a Canada wiki project. It has the same amount of people more or less as Port Moody, which would not be considered top importance to Canada. Just because it is massive doesn't necessarily make it important, especially in Canada, lot's of places are massive. For example northern sakstachewan (north of Prince Albert) is huge, unfortunatley it only has a couple towns and so depsite it's vast geography it is still relatively unimportant compared to the rest of the country. I suggest we compromise and call it "mid" 70.51.216.233 19:22, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Let's discuss this recent change for the Infobox Aircraft template before we go changing a large number of articles' template parameters to accommodate a very small number of articles that the change accommodates. At the very least, if the template is to be changed to "Introduction" all we need to change is the template output, not the name of the parameter to make the least amount of impact on ourselves. Although I'm even against that. Visit Template talk:Infobox Aircraft --Born2flie 04:42, 13 April 2007 (UTC) [reply]

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Bunny webcomic 270107.png)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Bunny webcomic 270107.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 18:55, 11 May 2007 (UTC) [reply]

Non-free use disputed for Image:Montreal Barbarians Logo.jpg

[edit]
Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Montreal Barbarians Logo.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read carefully the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content and then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 23:45, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Trevor; out or courtesy I wanted to let you know I don't believe the article on the company Air Miles is within the scope of the project and have removed the tag. Air Miles is a loyalty program company, where the rewards can take the form of flights - as well as other rewards. The various loyalty programs operated by Air Miles are not frequent flyer programs - you don't generally get points for flying, but rather collect them from general household expenditure. So despite its name, I don't believe it has a substantive link to the subject of aviation. Happy to discuss further. Murtoa 02:02, 7 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Hummel_Christmas_Tree_Ornament.JPG. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. My talk page template

[edit]

Hi Trevor,
I'm glad you liked my talk page banner graphics, but I'd like to ask you to respect the fact that I intended them from my userpage alone. Obviously there's nothing I can do to stop you using (without abusing adming powers :-) but I would like to ask you to remove it. Thanks, --Fir0002 10:13, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Trevor, there is a newbie editor that has insisted that the flight of the Spirit of St. Louis was the first non-stop flight across the Atlantic and has constantly reverted the article to eliminate the word "solo". He has not responded to the discussion page or to the note left on his "talk" page. These are his only contributions to Wiki articles and he continues to make spurious claims, see: [1] He will not stop the reverting although he has been politely informed that constant reversions without explanation on the discussion page is not considered appropriate. Asking for help here. Thanks Bzuk 13:47, 12 July 2007 (UTC). [reply]

Genealogy

[edit]

Greetings from the other side of the Pacific Rim!

I reached your genealogy subpage from viewing what links to one of the Ahnentafel templates. I've copied some general and genealogy templates (with proper acknowledgment) over to the Genealogy Wikia and am wondering whether it's worth while copying the Ahnentafel ones. Most of them seem to be linked largely to their fellows and to the occasional user subpage. Do you know if they are used in articles?

Come and see us at http://genealogy.wikia.com/wiki/Category:McInnes_Surname some time, maybe!

Assessing?

[edit]

Hi Trevor,

If you're in the assessing mood, I've had Tanker 910 renominated for some time now for GA, without results. If you have a mind to do a GA review, I'd be obliged. The article was nommed once, and put on hold with suggestions for improvement. I've addressed those on the talk page and now have renommed it. AKRadeckiSpeaketh 02:59, 24 August 2007 (UTC) [reply]
