Former teams (Infoboxes)[edit]

Please stop removing former teams from infoboxes as you did here. The former teams parameter is not reserved for just NHL teams, and deleting relevant and verifiable information in such a way is improper and destructive to the article. Dolovis (talk) 21:51, 5 July 2015 (UTC)

actually its the consensus method on wiki project ice hockey to list former teams played at only the highest level in each country...their notably is largely only gained through playing for the highest level teams so makes you would know it's the method used on the vast majority of player infoboxes! ...The other factor is assigning new players to the AHL is incorrect, as they have yet to be assigned officially from training camp.. to do so is just an assumption. Actually, there is no such consensus that only the highest level of former teams is listed in the infobox. If I am wrong, then show me the discussion where such consensus was reached. It is only because you have been systematically deleting infobox information so that it does not show on many articles. On the other issue, when a player is on a two-way contract, he is considered to be a prospect of the NHL team until he has made the NHL roster. Dolovis (talk) 23:16, 5 July 2015 (UTC)

Could have researched to see that there is. Yes, I have been doing it for many, many years because that has been the accepted practice. On a minor league level player (not major) primarily just limited to ECHL/AHL/CHL etc fair enough list them all. On the other issue, when a player is on a two-way contract, he is not automatically playing with their affiliate. They have to be re-assigned first and they can't be re-assigned until training camp. AHL training camps run after, so really its not proper to list the AHL affiliate, until they are actually there. So in this time the NHL team they are contracted to is only really just a bit of common sense i think. Triggerbit (talk) 05:34, 6 July 2015 (UTC)

Wisconsin Badgers Men's Ice Hockey 2005–06 NCAA Champions[edit]

What's your reason for removing this template from here? – Sabbatino (talk) 13:30, 28 May 2016 (UTC)

All Collegiate and team templates for that case are supposed to be deleted. It's always been the consensus since i've been around, they don't comply with project ice hockey standards.. Current roster templates.. hope that helps! Triggerbit (talk) 20:24, 28 May 2016 (UTC)
Thanks! Saw this template on Joe Pavelski's article and thought it should be included to every player's article. Although I should have asked at project's talk page before adding them. Again, thanks for clearing that up. In addition, does this rule apply to coaches too? For example, Mike Eaves and Mark Osiecki. – Sabbatino (talk) 09:20, 29 May 2016 (UTC)
No problem happy to help. The same does go for the coaches too, really all those templates should be nominated for deletion but i don't think anyone has ever got round to doing it! Triggerbit (talk) 11:23, 29 May 2016 (UTC)
Thanks again. I wonder how many articles have these templates... – Sabbatino (talk) 11:35, 29 May 2016 (UTC)
