I'm guessing this is the account of the conservative political consulting firm Macias Strategies. SamHolt6 (talk) 18:02, 1 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • It's worth noting that this complaining user, SamHolt6, tagged Thomas McNutt with a Conflict of Interest tag, even though there was no proven conflict of interest. This user may have chosen his name poorly, and his initial page had some POV problems with it, but it seemed genuine and in researching this politician, he's notable. The article Jay Wiley has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Subject fails WP:NPOL. The sources I could find were routine coverage from previous failed campaigns. This is an obvious advertisement ahead of the next election by a CoI editor.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. This is a notable politician in Texas. Just because user User:reddogsix is uninformed does not mean this politician is "non-notable".
