Disambiguation link notification for May 3

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 2014 Bodo attack, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Chirang and Baksa (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Yes. Me too. Nothing can beat "samosa with a hot chai and spicy chutney". - Vatsan34 (talk) 16:22, 5 May 2014 (UTC)

Bumping previous answer down

Just curious, why did you bump my answer down to insert your own out of order?

Also, just FYI, it seems that you could confuse new editors if the first thing you tell them is to create an account when they already have one. Dismas|(talk) 19:39, 6 May 2014 (UTC)

Hi, Sorry. It was due to edit conflict. I gave suggestion to create an account for anonymous people alone. Maybe, I missed the sign. - Vatsan34 (talk) 17:05, 7 May 2014 (UTC)

Good faith

We are enjoined to assume good faith on the part of other editors. You have indeed done so, in your two recent replies at the Help Desk. In my personal view (which you can safely ignore, I am not any kind of admin), you have overdone it. Maproom (talk) 21:16, 6 May 2014 (UTC)

Sorry. It's been nearly five years with Wiki, but just the first time in helpdesk. Will learn and adapt myself. - Vatsan34 (talk) 17:10, 7 May 2014 (UTC)

Question

I happened to look at your contributions the other day, out of sheer curiosity, and upon clicking this link, found that the tool says you have made 2000 some edits, considerably less than the 4189 your userpage claims. I am hoping you have an explanation for this, which is why I am asking here before doing anything else about it. Vanamonde93 (talk) 05:43, 18 May 2014 (UTC)

Vatsan's talk page was on my watchlist due to my posting above and that's how I happened to see this question. It's probably none of my business but Vatsan claims on their user page to have 4000+ overall edits. This page shows that they indeed have those edits overall in some 18 projects. I am curious though, what "else" were you thinking of doing about it? Dismas|(talk) 05:59, 18 May 2014 (UTC)
Ah that explains it, I didn't think somebody as experience as this guy would do something like that. Apologies for harbouring dirty suspicions. What else was I planning to do? Not sure, but I do recall a case where a new editor tried to pass themselves of as an admin, and eventually got blocked for that and related things. I would probably notified an admin and left it at that. Regards, Vanamonde93 (talk) 06:07, 18 May 2014 (UTC)
Dismas (talk · contribs) explained it. It is overall edit count. Maybe, I will put language wise one soon, Vanamonde93 (talk · contribs). The problem is I have a back-breaking 12-hour s a day work at my office , so I do not find time for editing here. I feel too guilty that I'm not able to come to Wiki daily, being an Admin at Tamil Wikipedia. :( - Vatsan34 (talk) 15:44, 18 May 2014 (UTC)
No worries, you are absolutely within your rights (I think), I've just spent too much time dealing with editors with an inflated sense of importance (like the fake admin I mentioned above) that I'm sensitive to that sort of thing. Regards, Vanamonde93 (talk) 16:04, 18 May 2014 (UTC)
