Your edits to New Zealand wine

[edit]

For the moment the changes you made to New Zealand wine have been removed - though they can still be accessed through the history link on that page - because they read just like an advert. In general Wikipedia aims for neutrality rather than promoting or advertising. If you can reword your text so that it gives the reader information about nz wine rather than promoting a service or product it would be a wecome addition to the page. I agree with Kahuroa. As a member of the Wine Project, I have to say that type of material is wholly inappropriate for an encyclopedia article about New Zealand wine. Wikipedia is not a wineguide. If the subject is truly notable, you may consider a biography Michael Cooper (wine critic) article. But keep in mind important Wikipedia policies like avoid advert languageand writing in a WP:NPOV tone using independent third party reliable sources (i.e. not the company or individual's own website). If you have a personal connection to the subject, you may also want to read up on our Conflict of Interest policy. AgneCheese/Wine 19:41, 22 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, all taken on board, thanks for the valuable advice. Vaughn.
