Welcome[edit]

Hello, Waterboyej and welcome to Wikipedia! It appears you are participating in a class project. If you haven't done so already, we encourage you to go through our training for students.

Go through our online training for students.

If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Please also read this helpful advice for students.

Before you create an article, make sure you understand what kind of articles are accepted here. Remember: Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and while many topics are encyclopedic, some things are not.

Your instructor or professor may wish to set up a course page, if your class doesn't already have one. It is highly recommended that you place this text: {{Educational assignment}} on the talk page of any articles you are working on as part of your Wikipedia-related course assignment. This will let other editors know this article is a subject of an educational assignment and aid your communication with them.

We hope you like it here and encourage you to stay even after your assignment is finished! Stuartyeates (talk) 07:23, 24 April 2014 (UTC)

Water resource management and Water Efficiency[edit]

You have made some very significant edits to Water resource management and Water efficiency. Both edits appear to be using more or less the same material. This is not a good idea. Wikipedia deprecates material duplicated across articles. Please carefully consider where your material best fits and use it there once only. A more significant issue if the style of your edits. Wikipedia asks for an encyclopaedic style which is most commonly written in the third person. Much of your work is written in the first person. Sentences such as " A person should be sure to buy a water efficient model when buying a new machine." is absolutely not written in an encyclopaedic style. A better phrasing might be "Education of consumers about the benefits of water efficient washing machines" might be better (but still not very good!) I have left your most recent edit as it is, but it would be great if you could improve it before somebody else deletes it. Regards  Velella  Velella Talk   13:12, 1 May 2014 (UTC)

I should also have said that the article before your edit was also very poor, so that if you are able to improve it, that would be great. I also note that some of the things I complained about above may have been there before your edit - in which case I unreservedly apologise - but that doesn't mean that I also approve of your edit! Please don't be put off. You have chosen an article which has great scope for improvement so you have the opportunity to make a significant difference.
