Why did you delete this artical? — Hurricane Devon ( Talk ) 12:20, 28 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The article originally is a redirect page, but I found that the redirect link is empty, i.e. appears red, and so I've placed the "delete" tag.--Wrightbus 12:27, 28 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

5200DD do exists http://cpu.zol.com.cn/55/551990.html

Can you find an English-language source? A Chinese page isn't going to be helpful in verifying it for the English Wikipedia. If you can't, we'll have to remove it again. --Vossanova o< 16:26, 8 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • I'm sorry but I couldn't find any news articles in English with relevant pics showing its OPN "ADO5200IAA5DD". Anyway, I think the Chinese website I cited is still helpful to verify whether 5200DD exists. In fact, 5200DD is only available in tray. --Wrightbus 11:44, 9 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

While English language sources are preferred, they are not required: material should not be removed solely because its only known source is not in English. Verifiers of such material may find online translation useful, but should bear in mind its limitations.--QuantumEngineer 08:24, 15 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:PC Genjin 2 title.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:PC Genjin 2 title.png. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Japanese locomotive article renamings[edit]

Hi. I see you have renamed/moved all the Japanese locomotive articles. Don't you think this was rather a bold move to make without any prior discussion, since the existing style was laid out in Wikipedia:WikiProject Trains in Japan/Style? DAJF 05:46, 18 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Emblem of Yuen Long District.svg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Emblem of Yuen Long District.svg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 14:01, 24 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Renaming of Chinese locomotive articles[edit]

Hi! You renamed (nearly) all Chinese locomotive articles. Please could you *not* rename anymore and rename the others back to the original name. If you really believe that the articles should be renamed, please start a discussion in the Trains project discussion page. Thank you, Poeloq 11:23, 10 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The articles renamed by me were created by me, too. Moreover, I've started a discussion in talk page of the project. --Wrightbus 20:07, 10 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I didn't see your discussion before I started a new one at Category talk:Chinese rolling stock. You may wish to participate.--QuantumEngineer 19:10, 14 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Emblem of Tono, Iwate.svg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Emblem of Tono, Iwate.svg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 03:24, 26 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

你好[edit]

你好Writhtbus! I see you edit a lot of the same articles as I do, the Chinese (railway) transport related articles. You got any good source links you could share with me or book recommendations? Books would have to be either technical drawings or English language, as my Chinese isn't good enough to get through a whole book without a lot of troube. 谢谢你--Poeloq (talk) 03:53, 14 December 2007 (UTC)![reply]

Usually, I obtain information about China railways by visiting Chinese railway forums and reading Chinese railway journals/papers. I'm afraid that I couldn't find sufficient English resources about this due to lacking such information in English language. --Wrightbus (talk) 07:48, 16 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Image:Logo of Department of Health, Hong Kong.svg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I6 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free image with no fair use rationale uploaded after May 4, 2006 which has been tagged as not having a rationale for more than 7 days.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:Image:Logo of Department of Health, Hong Kong.svg|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Invitation to events: bot, template, and Gadget makers wanted[edit]

I thought you might want to know about some upcoming events where you can learn more about MediaWiki customization and development, extending functionality with JavaScript, the future of mw:ResourceLoader and Gadgets, the new Lua templating system, how to best use the web API for bots, and various upcoming features and changes. We'd love to have power users, bot maintainers and writers, and template makers at these events so we can all learn from each other and chat about what needs doing.

Check out the Chennai event in March, the Berlin hackathon in June, the developers' days preceding Wikimania in July in Washington, DC, or any other of our events.

An article you recently created, 2017 Sun Hung Kai Properties Hong Kong Challenge, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay.
