Request reason:

I humbly ask to be unblocked as I made an honest mistake as a new contributor. I now understand the guidelines and rules of contributing content to Wikipedia and would greatly appreciate the opportunity to be able to contribute in the future. I will never repeat the mistakes I made as a first time contributor, and I sincerely meant no harm. I hope that you can consider unblocking me and accepting my apology along with my promise to never make the same content mistake again. Thank you for your help.

I did not originally respond because due to my blocked status at that time, I was not able to. I did message the Wikipedia Volunteer Response team on that day, to let them know that I could not respond to 331dot's question due to my blocked status. I got a response from G.L. explaining that they did not handle issues with blocks, but I was just trying to let you guys know I was unable to respond. I did make many efforts to do so, including going onto 331dot's talk page and I was not able to type anything due to the block status at that time. It might have been a due to my unfamiliarity in navigating this system, as I stated, I was new at editing in Wikipedia, so I do apologize; but please know that I did make an effort to respond.

If unblocked, I would contribute factual information and edits. I am a journalist and feel that I have valuable knowledge and resources to make meaningful contributions in the future, based on facts. I will never submit anything again that is considered promotional or paid. This is my first violation and it was an honest mistake. If I am given the opportunity, it will never happen again. I do feel that as a journalist and researcher, I can make a good impact on the Wikipedia community and hope to be given a second opportunity to make factual contributions.
