Hello. I wrote up an article on FUNN Magazine and it got deleted.

I believe there is some confusion.

The article I wrote for FUNN Magazine is not meant for promotion. It is a historically significant invention in the world of augmented reality and holograms. It is similar to many other wikipedia pages describing new technological inventions such as Microsoft's HoloLens and Oculus Rift to name a few.

Can I get a response back please, because I feel that it was deleted before the mods fully understood the significance of the page.

Twas super duper promotional, sorry. This is an encyclopedia. If you wish to self-promote, Facebook is thataway. -- Y not? 19:49, 11 January 2016 (UTC)

----- ----- ---- -----

You obviously don't understand this technology. It's a hard concept to grasp if you're not part of the holographic community. in other words, it might be over your head. Can you please reexamine it?

It is historically significant, and I made it as a reference to the augmented reality page on wikipedia.

I wrote it in great detail to showcase it's historical multi-media significance in the emerging world of holograms and virtual reality.

I also notice that Playboy Magazine has a wikipedia page as well as many other significant media entities such as HoloLens and Oculus Rift. I'm curious what the difference is.

Can you please explain how you found that it was 'super duper promotional' and how I can make is less 'promotional' without leaving out any detail?

Thanks -Dennis

Calnex Solutions[edit]

Apologies if I misunderstood Wikipedia guidelines. I used similar company pages as a template. Is it possible to get my deletion back so that I can edit out the offending text?

Dpr1960 (talk) 13:29, 12 January 2016 (UTC)

Sorry DPR, that article was a pure press release. It can't be edited to confirm to our policies. This is an encyclopedia, not a webhost. -- Y not? 15:40, 12 January 2016 (UTC)

Deleted page[edit]

Hi - I created a page for Dre Baldwin which you recently deleted. I just wanted to find out why? Or get feedback about how I could make the page without future deletions? Please let me know. Thanks!

WHY IS THIS PAGE BEING DELETED? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Masonsmusics (talkcontribs) 23:40, 18 January 2016 (UTC)

Under criterion WP:A7 -- Y not? 17:27, 19 January 2016 (UTC)

You recently deleted Markelytics Solution page. I had seen other market research firm have wiki page which dont have any solid references to back.

Please visit the following page:

If Hansa Research format is valid for a wiki page, should i put Markelytics detail in the same format ?

It is fine with us if the wiki page for Markelytics also have minimal details.

I have nominated the other page for deletion. -- Y not? 17:13, 19 January 2016 (UTC)

Loklak (website)[edit]

Hello Y,

this article was created by a Google Code-in student. May you please restore the text into my user pages, that I can review it and help the student to write it more neutrally and not to so promotional?

Greetings, --Kopiersperre (talk) 12:11, 21 January 2016 (UTC)

No, I am afraid I won't. This is the fifth creation, here and at Loklak, by the following users: Thenaveenb (talk · contribs), Mjain30312 (talk · contribs), Shiftsayan (talk · contribs). This is a coordinated spam campaign, and perhaps a sockpuppet situation as well. -- Y not? 15:21, 21 January 2016 (UTC)
Yes indeed, it's the same person. Mr. Naveen had the task to bring the article into Wikipedia, so he learned how to play with sockpuppets. He was just unaware of the rules. May you please send me the text as wikimail, that I can judge by myself, how the quality is?--Kopiersperre (talk) 16:22, 21 January 2016 (UTC)
I will, but it's no good. It reads like sales copy. -- Y not? 16:48, 21 January 2016 (UTC)

deleted page Taslim Samji[edit]

I was the host of an Art+Feminism meetup event yesterday evening at which the page for Taslim Samji was created, and I see that you have deleted it already. I didn't personally review the page contents and I respect your judgment that it may have had issues, but I would like the opportunity to strengthen the page if possible before it is flagged for deletion. I can vouch that it was created in a constructive spirit as part of a movement that aims to encourage new editors from underrepresented groups, and the speedy deletion is discouraging in this context. Asking for your help, please. Artchivist1 (talk) 17:07, 21 January 2016 (UTC)

OK, I will undelete and decline the a7 nomination. -- Y not? 17:09, 21 January 2016 (UTC)
Thanks, appreciated. Artchivist1 (talk) 17:45, 21 January 2016 (UTC)

"Without obstacles" redirect[edit]

Just FYI, This was a redirect created by User:Neelix. I realize not everyone is aware of this situation, but Neelix lleft the project after it was discovered he had created literally tens of thousands of questionable redirects. Due to the sheer volume of the problem, the community temporarily authorized creation by Neelix as a valid extension of WP:CSD#G6 if the reviewing admin believed the redirect would probably be deleted if it went to RFD. That being the case, I have speedy deleted it despite you declining to do so earlier. (I'm also not at all sure that "redirects are cheap", while a valid argument at RFD, is a valid reason to decline a speedy, but that's another matter.) Beeblebrox (talk) 22:20, 21 January 2016 (UTC)

Thanks for letting me know. All I meant was, a stupid redirect doesn't hurt the encyclopedia. -- Y not? 00:34, 22 January 2016 (UTC)

Deleted Page[edit]

You recently deleted my Mobile Labs page and I would like further information on why it was deleted. I modeled it after a very similar company, Perfecto Mobile, who has had a page up since November of 2015. I followed all of Wikipedia's guidelines for creating a company page --I kept it factual and included multiple third party, verifiable sources from well-known outlets such as 451 Research, CIOReview and SD Times. Please reconsider deleting the page.

Thank you,

Montae Harri$ page deleted[edit]

Hey Y, I was just wondering why the page was deleted. I was told that I needed multiple 3rd party sources and I cited them. I was still building also, so I was down to make any changes necessary. May it please be added back, I didn't get to save the template I was working on. I'll make any further revisions necessary. Thank you.

banco efisa[edit]

Hello could you explain why page for banco efisa was deleted? Banco efisa is a major investment bank in Portugal that was nationalised and reprivatized and there are several references to it on several pages in wikipedia (Banco Portugues de Negocios for instance). Thank you

Because the very short article did not explain in any way the significance of this institution. If this is indeed a major investment bank in Portugal, please feel free to recreate the article based on, and citing to, significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject. -- Y not? 17:06, 25 January 2016 (UTC)

Spelled Moon[edit]

Hi! I'm a fan of es:Spelled Moon and I wanted to create their article on the English wiki. I saw you deleted it a couple of years ago, so I just wanted to comply with the rules and let you know (when I tried to create it, the system showed a sign saying I should contact the deleting administrator if I intended to re-create the article). Thanks. --ExperiencedArticleFixer (talk) 21:24, 2 February 2016 (UTC)

Please go ahead and create it, if you're able to do so based on secondary sources. The one I deleted was terrible, just a mess of promotional content and no citations. While you're at it, feel free to fix Patrick Johansson (musician), which is pretty terrible itself. -- Y not? 21:55, 2 February 2016 (UTC)
I'll take a look at it as well. Thanks. --ExperiencedArticleFixer (talk) 22:37, 2 February 2016 (UTC)

Paolo Petrocelli[edit]

Hi Y, Thank you for your feedback. The article has a COI tag since August last year. Since then, the article has been re-written several times, but new edits have not been verified by any administrators, and COI has remained. As you have, instead of deletion, I propose re-writing this article, but would you check it for approval once I have submitted it? Thank you for your response, and Kind regards, JackHGH.

Hello JackHGH. There's no approval process for articles here. You, like any other editor, should feel free to edit the article as necessary. The promotional tone of the article should be eliminated in order to bring this article fully in compliance with our policies. Please note that just because I declined to delete it as unambiguously promotional under speedy deletion criterion WP:G11, doesn't mean it cannot be deleted under the ordinary deletion process. -- Y not? 15:12, 4 February 2016 (UTC)
