ArbCom 2018 election voter message

[edit]

Hello, Yeeted Or Yote. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. All users who registered an account before Sunday, 28 October 2018, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Thursday, 1 November 2018 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2018 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 19 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at PewDiePie, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Grayfell (talk) 05:44, 1 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at PewDiePie, you may be blocked from editing. Grayfell (talk) 07:09, 1 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Accion Comunal moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Accion Comunal, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Non-free content use

[edit]

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. We always appreciate when users upload files. However, it appears that one or more of the files you have uploaded or added to a page, specifically User:Yeeted Or Yote/sandbox, may fail our non-free policy. Most often, this involves editors uploading or using a copyrighted file of a living person. For other possible reasons, please read up on our Non-free criteria. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 01:18, 25 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

As explained above, non-free files like File:Commonwealth Flag - 2013.svg and File:Flag of the Commonwealth of Nations (1976).svg cannot be used in User:Yeeted Or Yote/sandbox. If you have any questions about this, feel free to ask them below or at WP:MCQ, but please don't re-add these files to that page again. Non-free content use can be tricky and it's OK to make a mistake like this once (maybe even twice), but repeating the same mistake over and over again even after be advised not to is going to eventually be seen as disruptive. -- Marchjuly (talk) 01:05, 27 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
stop You need to stop adding non-free files to your user sandbox. You've been advised not to do a number of times before, yet you still continue to do so. An administrator is going to be asked to step in and take action (possibly even block your account from editing) if you do so again. -- Marchjuly (talk) 03:18, 17 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Hello. I'm an administrator here. You need to communicate with other editors. Why haven't you responded to the concerns above? Additionally, why did you edit SomeDudeWithAUserName's user page? — JJMC89(T·C) 01:31, 19 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to Gloria Borger. Your edits could be interpreted as vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. Request reason:

Sorry that I vandalized the 2 pages today, I won't vandalize any more pages and I only really want to edit my sandbox

Decline reason:

This unblock request has been declined due to your history of vandalism and/or disruption to this encyclopedia. However, we are willing to give you another chance provided that you can earn back the trust of the Wikipedia community. To be unblocked you need to demonstrate that you are willing and able to contribute positively to Wikipedia. You can do this by:

  • Familiarizing yourself with our basic rules.
  • Read our guide to improving articles
  • Pick any pre-existing article you wish to improve.
  • If you have trouble choosing an article to improve, see this index of articles needing improvement for ideas. Once you have decided on the article you will propose improvements to:
    1. Click the Edit tab at the top of that article;
    2. Copy the portion of the prose from that article that you will be proposing changes to. However:
      • do not copy the "infobox" from the start of the article (i.e., markup like this: ...);
      • do not copy any image placement code (i.e., markup like this: );
      • do not copy the page's categories from the bottom of the page (i.e., markup like this: );
      • do not copy the stub tag (if there) from the bottom of the page (i.e., markup like this: Foo stub);
    3. Click edit at your talk page, and paste at the bottom under a new section header (like this: == Article title ==) the copied content but do not save yet;
    4. Place your cursor in the edit summary box and paste there an edit summary in the following form which specifies the name of the article you copied from and links to it (this is required for mandatory copyright attribution): "Copied content from exact Name of Article; see that article's history for attribution."
    5. You can now save the page. However, if your edits will include citations to reliable sources (which they should), add the following template to the end of your prose: reflist-talk. Once you have added the template, click Publish changes.
  • Now, edit that content. Propose significant and well researched improvements by editing the selected portion of the article. Please note that we are not looking for basic typo corrections, or small unreferenced additions; your edits should be substantial, and reflect relevant policies.
  • When you are done with your work, re-request unblocking and an administrator will review your proposed edits.
    • If we (including the original blocking admin) are convinced that your proposed edits will improve Wikipedia as an encyclopedia, you will be unblocked.

If you need help while working with your proposed edits, you may add "your question here ~~~~" to your talk page. Thank you. Reaper Eternal (talk) 05:09, 12 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the unblock template again. Request reason:

I have read the basic rules and guide to improving articles. I understand what I did was wrong and I swear I will never vandalize any more pages ever again. I will take a short temporary ban just please take away the permanent ban.

Decline reason:

You've been given a path toward unblocking. If you wish to be unblocked, follow the instructions you've been provided. Yamla (talk) 14:45, 12 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I would add that the block(a ban is different) is not permanent; it is indefinite, simply meaning it has no end date. It will end when administrators like me are satisfied that you understand what you did, will not be disruptive again, and will make constructive contributions. 331dot (talk) 14:47, 12 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I finished reading the guide to appealing blocks and as I said before I understand my actions were wrong. I'm deeply sorry for what I have done and I wish to rejoin the Wikipedia Community.

Decline reason:

Have you also read what Reaper Eternal wrote in response to your first unblock request? Huon (talk) 15:22, 12 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You've now had three unblock requests declined. You are in danger of losing access to this talk page, so think very, very carefully before making the next unblock request. If you are unwilling to follow the instructions you've been provided, you'll almost certainly lose access to this page. --Yamla (talk) 15:31, 12 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@JJMC89: I have read all the rules and guides regarding blocks and the basic rules of Wikipedia. I understand I made a mistake and I wish to show you that I can change. I am willing to undertake a probation because the pages I vandalized yesterday on April 11th, 2019. You do not need to forgive me but at least give me a chance to show you, as well as the other people that pages were vandalized, that I can be a better person. All future edits, if you agree to unblock me, will only be made to expand pages and articles, not to vandalized. Thank you for reading this.

You have been given a chance. If your next edit isn't to take advantage of that chance, I will revoke your talk page access. --Yamla (talk) 18:19, 12 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
