AWFC Template[edit]

Major League Rugby[edit]

Hi I saw you deleted my edit to add a new Table header I do think it's necessary because the previous years had one league table. This edition has a Western and Eastern conference so there is no more higher and lower seed looser in the semifinals instead the conference final loosers StefanS33 (talk) 19:45, 18 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Seem superfluous to talk about teams that did NOT play for the championship in the championship table and I have not seen such listings elsewhere in RU; there are season articles for those kind of trivial details. Date of press release[edit]

I saw you restored December 5 on Boudreau's and Green's pages. For me the press release on the Canucks' website lists "8:30 AM" (or "8:30 AM · Dec 6, 2021" on Canucks' Twitter message), which would be 1:30 AM in New York time. In addition, press releases, news articles and other content are always based on New York time for some reason (my personal observation through years). – Sabbatino (talk) 19:42, 6 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Sabbatino: That's odd, because when I open it, it says December 5 on the top explicitly. It might have to do with where it is accessed from? They posted to social media at 2230 PST Dec 5; their local time (not my local time though). One division at a time[edit]

Howdy. Perhaps its over-tiredness on my part, but I'm just not quite sure of what you're proposing. Anyways, we need more editors chiming in. @MikeVitale: No worries. If I'm reverting, it is just so that you get pinged in the edit. I appreciate you learning and making an effort to do so. As I have been very busy of late, I have not been able to update as much as I once did and appreciate all editors who can, especially in some of the lesser covered leagues. I do wish women's hockey had more general coverage, and thus more people interested, but for now it is what it is. I look forward to seeing more of your updates and improvement. NHL Divisions.[edit]

Perhaps, Ravenswing's got the best idea. Delete all the NHL Division articles past/present. Right now, the Atlantic Division (NHL)'s content is an embarrassment. When you read it, its' obviously about two different Divisions. GoodDay (talk) 22:19, 13 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@GoodDay: I was having similar thoughts. Although, WP:ATD, I was thinking about proposing a History of NHL alignment. It could theoretically cover all the various moves between members, the history of each time period in regards to the major realignments (there were always some slight modifications with the expansion from the 1970s to 2000, but really only a couple of major shifts like 2013's), as well links to rivalries that became notable due to the alignments at the time. Having one comprehensive page should prevent much of the WP:OR and WP:SYNTH that has been created due to arguments like "the 2013–14 Atlantic is a continuation of such and such" because shares a name/has a bunch of teams from the Northeast Division etc. Yosemiter (talk) 22:25, 13 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Utica Comets[edit]

@13Sundin: You don't have to call me out on that. It was obvious who it was from as it was on my talk page for one. And it was signed, it was just a typo of a missed "~" obviously.

However, if you di wish to seek a consensus to split, you should take it up at WT:HOCKEY. But, they will probably tell you the same thing as: most outsiders and independent media treat same name/diff franchise as one entity, so we should too. Question about Template:Ice Hockey Stats[edit]

I've been looking at a couple of PHF player pages, and I see the "External Links" section on some of 'em that include the template above. For example: Audra Morrison. I've read the documentation for the template, and I see that it uses some information from Wikidata. I went and found Audra's Wikidata page, and it makes sense how the template makes use of the particular Wikidata items to create the external links to (e.g.) EliteProspects. The part that I can't figure out is how the Audra Morrison Wikipedia page knows that it links to that Wikidata page to look up those particular Wikidata properties. I don't see anything on her Wikipedia page source that makes that connection. Do you know how that magic happens? TIA. --Mike Vitale 17:52, 2 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

PHF Profile (documentation, specifically)[edit]

Hola. Today, I moved Template:NWHL profile to Template:PHF profile. A few minutes later, I also moved the documentation page and then updated the documentation to reflect all the new information, updated examples, etc. I'm confused, however, because when I go view the PHF profile template page, the documentation that's displayed is not the most current version -- even a few hours after I made the changes. Also, the "No parameters" Output example still shows "NWHL profile template missing ID" instead of saying "PHF profile." Did I do something wrong? @MikeVitale: Templates are cached; if you make a no-edit submit changes on a player, it should update. They will otherwise cache over time, a few days at most. As for the second, did this edit fix it? Yosemiter (talk) 19:18, 24 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Arena Football League[edit]
