April 2014[edit]

Please do not add or change content without an explanation in the edit summary and without verifying it by citing a reliable source. Your edit to Mexican-American War is nonconstructive, unsupported and has been reverted. Thank you. Donner60 (talk) 21:16, 28 April 2014 (UTC)
I have immediately reconsidered placing the above notice. Your edit seems to have been in good faith and perhaps is correct. However, because it would be unfamiliar to most people, I think a reliable, verifiable source should be cited - especially in view of your own statement that most historians would not agree that the event happened. Sorry for my apparent mistake on the notice, but again, I think a citation to prove the existence of the story or legend and that the memorial date occurs should be given. Thank you.
