Chess game

[edit]

Chess game, let's do it. By the way, can I put your method of playing the game on my userpage? It is entirely kick-ass! --Kevin 03:35, 29 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Seeing that you're back

...we have a chess game to resume and finish quickly. Make your move when you're ready. --Slgr@ndson (page - messages - contribs) 18:47, 8 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I challenge you to a chess game -- @ /sroerick

We're just going to play on another medium. -Zapptastic (talk) 04:56, 25 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've decided to start a match with you here. Scobell302 01:10, 8 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I challenge you to a game of chess at User:Zapptastic/chess/roxysmashsir43. Nice program, by the way.

By the way, do you live in the Twin Cities? Judging by your expansive knowledge of our transit system, I made the assumption.

User:Zapptastic/chess/(aeropagitica)02 You can be white this time!  (aeropagitica)   (talk)  08:02, 30 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Zapptastic. I've challenged you to a new game of chess at User:Zappa.jake/chess/Picaroon9288. If you would like me to postpone the game until you finish your other games, please let me know and go ahead with those matches. Otherwise, I've made a first move of pawn d4. I've had some last-minute wikibreaks recently (see my userpage history), and might have more, so if I have one that's longer than a few days, or if I disappear without leaving a template, consider it a forfeit on my part. Good luck! Picaroon9288|ta co 06:07, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! I have taken up your challenge at User:Zappa.jake/chess/(aeropagitica). I'm looking forward to playing you!  (aeropagitica)   (talk)  16:05, 17 August 2006 (UTC

Hello. I came across your Chess page via Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Standards, and (as white) I've just started a match on this page. Please let me know when you're ready to join me (pardon me if you're on Wikibreak until next week). With this game, I'll be able to take some time off from my usual Wikiduties, especially after I've spent hours and hours improving the Nelvana page! --Slgr@ndson (page - messages - contribs) 15:27, 4 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hiya! I've noticed a lot of people seem to mention you when it comes to your chess games, and while I can't quite get into it just yet myself, I was curious about the setup. I've peeked at the markup for the board and pieces, but was curious if you edit the markup manually, or do you have any tools to do so? Or does it just sound like a silly question? :)

Hi! I'm not quite sure how the markup came about, or why it works, or any of that - all I know is that it works, and so I use it. When playing a game, you edit the markup itself. It helps to edit in a window with a fixed-width font, but it works either way. You can check out my chess lounge here and create your own game if you wish here. I would, but I'm super busy lately and will continue to be so until at least the end of this weekend. Thanks, zappa.jake (talk) 20:47, 2 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I just copied and pasted the game to your chess lounge at User:Zappa.jake/chess/Ac1983fan. Just thought I'd let you know.--Ac1983fan (talkcontribs) 22:32, 1 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. Your move. -zappa.jake (talk) 04:17, 7 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I feel like playing chess, so I'll challenge you to a game. :)--TBC (aka Tree Biting Conspiracy) 07:39, 29 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Get ready to rumble! -zappa.jake (talk) 04:18, 7 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ahoy there, created a new game at User:Zappa.jake/chess/Aguerriero. You play white since you are playing black in your other active games. :) Aguerriero (talk) 19:16, 25 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. Get ready to rumble! -zappa.jake (talk) 04:20, 7 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, I started up a game if your interested. Falphin 00:42, 18 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm in. -zappa.jake (talk) 21:16, 20 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It took me awhile to figure out how to play the game on this site. Im still learning alot. Everything is done differently. Can you show me where the page is that all the games are played online. Thanks John R G 18:20, 4 May 2006 (UTC).[reply]

There really isn't a place where all the games are played. Some games can be found in Esperanza's Coffee Lounge. Some messed-up chess (but sometimes more fun!) games can be found in the Chess Sandbox. Later, zappa.jake (talk) 21:15, 4 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the invitation, but I've never played chess and I don't have a clue about rules or strategy. I had a chess board once, but I sold it at a pawn shop. --Elkman - (talk) 13:11, 24 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

BTW, wikichess is a totally cool idea. I wanted to copy all the chess formulae over to vicipaedia, but the task seemed very daunting. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Josh Rocchio (talkcontribs)
