Thank you.

The article GoldenDict has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article, which appeared to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki (talk) 11:40, 22 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article GoldenDict has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Does not meet Wikipedia:Notability requirement, there is simply no sufficient coverage. I looked for possible sources in the article history and in the current versions of connected articles in other languages but found very little ("GoldenDict: A Dictionary Nugget" in Linux Magazine and a mention in Softpedia).

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi, I doubt that this message would reach you given that this account wasn't active in over 10 years, however, I'm writing just in case. It appears that you only ever created two versions of the same article (created once, then it was deleted, and you recreated it again) and never substantially contributed to any other articles. Creating a new article is one of the hardest edits to make, I would recommend focusing first on expanding other articles. Alternatively, you could create a new article draft in "draft space" as described in Wikipedia:Drafts. Anton.bersh (talk) 20:39, 1 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
