Block message:

Autoblocked because your IP address was recently used by "Apreo121". The reason given for Apreo121's block is: ": Abusing multiple accounts: Please see: Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Mystic212".

Accept reason:

Sorry. It looks like a known vandal is operating from your IP address. Hopefully they stop. I have lifted the autoblock. Yamla (talk) 11:02, 9 January 2019 (UTC)

@Yamla: thanks so much! I really hope so because I'm running 2 wiki-training sessions next week... Is there any way I can protect the IP address from being blocked for those events? Zeromonk (talk) 11:43, 9 January 2019 (UTC)

Possibly. WP:IPBE might be an option for you. This is probably more likely to be granted if you indicate it's for a short term, and because you are running training sessions. I hope that helps! --Yamla (talk) 11:46, 9 January 2019 (UTC)
@Yamla: Thanks, that's really helpful! Zeromonk (talk) 12:26, 9 January 2019 (UTC)

Access to the Onedrive resources for wiki/500 years event of 15 Jan[edit]

Hi Alice once again many thanks for a brilliant day yesterday. I bookmarked the resources you uploaded to do some more editing but it looks like I might need a Wellcome password & username to sign in now that I'm not at the event. Would I contact Wellcome IT for that? 08:04, 16 January 2019 (UTC)Vix612 (talk)

@Vix612: sorry about that - I had originally set the link to expire at the end of the month, so I updated it with a permanent link - if you go to the event page from yesterday the updated link there should work for you! Zeromonk (talk) 08:27, 16 January 2019 (UTC)

thanks, that works! Vix612 (talk) 09:34, 16 January 2019 (UTC)

The event on 7 March in Berlin[edit]

Hi Zeromonk, I am the contact person for the event in Berlin. This is my first bilingual event in Wikipedia. Have you ever realized such an event? Do you speak or understand German? Best regards Iva=>?! • 20:26, 4 February 2019 (UTC)

Hi @IvaBerlin: thank you so much for contacting me. I am sad to say that I speak only a little German - I will translate the slides from my presentation in advance (I understand and read better than I speak!). Then I can help with editing online during the practical session? I hope this will be okay for you? Zeromonk (talk) 09:04, 5 February 2019 (UTC)
Hi again, it's like my English with your German, obviously. :) Of course it will be a great help if you are involved in the online editing. Your presentation will be held in English. Which slides will you translate in advance?
I have some more questions: Is it okay if I link your English Wikipedia profile at the event? Your real name will be on your user page anyway. I've been asked several times what a Wikimedian is. So it would be good to link it. The second question concerns the different handling in the German and English Wikipedia. Do you know that? Will you mention this in your presentation? Have we to talk about it before the event? Maybe via Mail or what do you think about it? Best regards Iva=>?! • 11:21, 6 February 2019 (UTC)
@IvaBerlin: you are far too generous, your English is excellent and my German is definitely not as good! I will prepare just a few slides explaining what a Wikimedian is, and about what we have been doing with scientists in the UK and why. Please do link to my profile, that would be very helpful. I think it will be very helpful to talk about differences between En and De Wikipedias - would you like to email: a.white@wellcome.ac.uk ? Zeromonk (talk) 09:49, 9 February 2019 (UTC)

DYK nomination of Katharine Cook[edit]

Symbol question.svg Hello! Your submission of Katharine Cook at the Did You Know nominations page has been reviewed, and some issues with it may need to be clarified. Review Hanne Bergius?[edit]

Hello, You said in Berlin that we could turn to you when it comes to reviewing an article. In the meantime, a participant has submitted the article about Hanne Bergius for viewing. Are you so kind as to see if you can release it? Thank you very much! Best regards Iva=>?! • 11:29, 11 April 2019 (UTC)

@IvaBerlin: absolutely brilliant article - but for enwiki we will need some references (citations for articles about the subject and her work, not just things written by her). I have left a review message on the page, and will search for and add some citations myself too over the next couple of days, and then approve the draft once we have some references. Zeromonk (talk) 18:10, 11 April 2019 (UTC)
Hello again, the author had done, what You wrote. Can You have a look again? Thank you very much! Best regards Iva=>?! • 19:09, 30 April 2019 (UTC)
@IvaBerlin: thanks - page has been created! Zeromonk (talk) 07:13, 2 May 2019 (UTC)

DYK for Katharine Cook[edit]

Updated DYK query.svgOn 23 April 2019, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Katharine Cook, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Katharine Timpson Cook established training programmes for midwives in Namirembe, Uganda, but distrusted her students and censored their mail? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Katharine Cook. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Katharine Cook), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Hello, I'm sorry for asking for support once again. This time it's about Christine Silberhorn. The article was written in the context of the Diversithon. Additional information was requested. These were delivered by Garconne. Can you see if this is ok now? Best regards Iva=>?! • 19:38, 11 May 2019 (UTC)

@IvaBerlin: wow, a Leibniz Prize winner! Very impressive! I have added several citations and published the article in mainspace - congratulations @Garconne: for this great addition! Zeromonk (talk) 09:05, 13 May 2019 (UTC)

Wellcome WiR dates[edit]

Hi Alice, The outreach:Wikipedian_in_Residence states that the Wellcome WiR position ended in February 2017. Is that up to date? I've used it to update Alice White (Q56366543) so that I can automate the WiR table (in progress). T.Shafee(Evo&Evo)talk 02:58, 2 October 2019 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Elizabeth Murray (doctor), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page FRCP (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver).
