uTalk is a free client for messaging between phones and computers. With uTalk you can send free pictures, voice and text to your friends from any social network, chat in groups, and view your friends locations. uTalk supports various protocols such as AIM, Yahoo! Messenger, Windows Live Messenger, XMPP/Jabber, Vkontakte, Odnoklassniki, Google Talk, Gadu-Gadu, ICQ, MobileMe/iChat and Facebook.[1]

The name uTalk is a homophone for the phrase "You Talk". The application is available for most common desktop and mobile platforms. uTalk uses a proprietary protocol that allows communication between other users. This protocol also allows communication between multiple instant messaging services through the uTalk client, however uTalk’s servers do not directly interface with other services.[2] Newer versions of the uTalk protocol have added social features found in most messaging services such as status messages and location data. uTalk supports voice recordings and picture transmission.

uTalk - is a free mobile software. uTalk available for download in all popular applications store: iTunes Store, Ovi store, GetJar, Android market and Amazon. Registration and use of the program is free. Additionally, there is a Premium version of the client, with an increased number of functions.

Since 2010, the program uTalk built into all telephone companies Samsung Electronics supports GPRS/WAP the Internet in Russia and CIS countries. It also is suitable for all phones in the CIS. In uTalk created more than 4,000 active groups. uTalk program supports 16 languages.[3] uTalk planned to add a popular service mail.ru. From 09/01/2011 added function to connect Premium account and group on the official site. In "My profile" was added additional functionality to your IM bots and additional functions.[4]

Official bots[edit]

Image bot
This bot is designed to support the positive spirit of communication in group chats. For any query, group members, it gives an image on request.

Admin bot
It is created to keep order in groups, monitor and punish distributors of spam messages and using foul language users.

Translate bot
Bot translator can translate text directly in the chat for more than 20 languages. Simply enter a special command and text, then the bot will give instant translation.

WIKI bot
Communicate with the bot Wiki users can in a special group - Wikipedia, either in private chat. Sending bot any word or phrase, the user will see an article from the Encyclopedia Wiki, a list of similar articles, of which description to choose the right.

RSS bot
Group owners the opportunity to choose the subject of news stories that RSS bot will publish in a group chat. This feature will improve the information content of communication in groups.
