WAFL (97.7 FM) is a radio station broadcasting a Hot Adult Contemporary format. Licensed to Milford, Delaware, United States, the station serves the Salisbury-Ocean City area. The station is currently owned by Delmarva Broadcasting Company.[1] The station is also broadcast on HD radio.[2]


The station first went on the air as WAFL-FM on May 19, 1973.

The station originally broadcast a country format with the tagline of "The Country King". After that, the station changed its format and became WAFL - Great Hits.

Another change in September 1994, Eagle 97.7 was born playing hits from the 1980s and 1990s, as well as current popular songs, As the years past the 80's songs were phased out and by March 2016 the station dropped 90's music and the tagline of Delaware's best music, Now focusing on the hits from the last ten years and rebranded as Eagle 977 my Hit Music
