Who[edit]

All Wikipedia and Wikimedia users and their families are invited. New and casual users are specifically encouraged to attend.

What[edit]

The Great Colorado Wiknic 2014.

When[edit]

Please note new date:

Sunday afternoon, July 6, 2014, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm, rain or shine.

Note: We have been asked to move our Wiknic to Sunday, July 6, 2014. Please let  Buaidh  know whether this works for you, and see or comment at [1]

I like the idea of moving it to July 6. I note that the overall Wikipedia:Wiknic page now lists 4 other events taking place on July 6. And the Boulder International Festival is on the 21st along with lots of solstice events. ★NealMcB★ (talk) 15:52, 7 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

July 6 is the 694th anniversary of the Declaration of Arbroath, so wear your kilt if you wish.

Hmm - I'd love to celebrate it, but it looks like the anniversary was April 6. Is there something else on July 6? ★NealMcB★ (talk) 14:30, 9 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
There is lot of good events to choose from. I might chose Lennon and McCartney meeting for the first time but that would just be showing my age. :-) MarnetteD | Talk 00:59, 10 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
It's the bummer 20th anniversary of the South Canyon Fire which killed 14 wildlands firefighters on Storm King Mountain.  Buaidh  22:43, 14 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
It's also the 79th birthday of the Dalai Lama.  Buaidh  18:07, 15 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Where[edit]

Our Wiknic will be held at a residence adjacent to the Indian Tree Golf Course in Arvada, Colorado, midway between downtown Denver and downtown Boulder. Public transit and a shuttle are available. Contact  Buaidh  (email) for specific directions.

We encourage meetups and Wiknics at other locations in Colorado. See WikiProject Colorado for help.
