"Who Says" is a song by American band Selena Gomez & the Scene. It was released on March 14, 2011 as the lead single from the band's as yet untitled third album. It debuted at position 24 on the Billboard Hot 100.[1]

Background and composition

The single had its world premiere on On Air with Ryan Seacrest on March 8, 2011.

The official music video, which was directed by Chris Applebaum, premiered on VEVO March 11. The video starts off with Gomez at a photo shoot where she starts singing the first verse. She then removes her earrings and shoes and exits the studio. She is seen singing while several lyrics appear on various locations. Throughout the video, she is seen running or wandering, whilst singing. Later in the video, Gomez is seen singing with her band, surrounded by fans. The video ends as the crowd runs toward a beach, and the waves wash away the words, 'The End.'

Live performances

The band is scheduled to appear on The Late Show with David Letterman and The Ellen DeGeneres Show in March to perform the song live.[2]
