*I gave a copyedit and don't have any prose comments. However, I noticed a couple things
  • The lede completely ignores the extended plays and music videos. Did they have any videos which are worthy of note? Chrisye, for example, had one which was the first Indonesian song to be shown on MTV Southeast Asia and one which raised controversy for its costume choices.
    • Added mentions of the extended plays. The band doesn't have any particularly noteworthy videos. Holiday56 (talk) 08:59, 12 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

    • The sites used as references (Billboard, AllMusic) are very much active, and have been used by a vast majority of the music-related articles on the site; I personally can't see these pages disappearing any time soon.   • Link "certified" appropriately.
  • "the band released their second" -> new para so "Matchbox Twenty released..."
  • "[8][6][3][4] " would prefer these in numerical order.
  • Never keen on CS being an abbreviation for just "Cassette"...
  • I can't see any video charts on the Billboard page.

Comments – overall a well done discography.
  • Dangling modifier: "As it was not released for commercial sale, American chart provider Billboard deemed "Push" ineligible to appear on its main Hot 100 singles chart." Should be written with "Push" directly after the comma, so like "As it was not released for commercial sale, "Push" was deemed ineligible by American chart provider Billboard to appear on its main Hot 100 singles chart."
  • Hyphenate: "top ten hit" – add a hyphen in "top ten" because it is a compound adjective.
  • Hyphenate: Same with "twelve times" here: "...and was certified twelve times platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA)."
  • POV: "Mad Season spawned three more singles, two of which were moderately successful..." – how do you define "moderately successful"?
  • Redundancy: "More Than You Think You Are, the band's third studio album, was released in November 2002 and it peaked at number six on the Billboard 200"
  • Unsupported by citation: "...and was a major factor in More Than You Think You Are's long-lasting chart presence."
  • "The extended play EP was released in November 2003, peaking at number 43 on the Billboard 200; the video album Show: A Night in the Life of Matchbox Twenty was released in May 2004, topping the Billboard Top Video Albums chart." – these two do not seem to be related, so the semi-colon is weak here.
  • Needs citation: "Following a hiatus to allow lead singer Rob Thomas to focus on his solo career, Matchbox Twenty reunited to record six new songs for a compilation album."
  • Redundancy and hyphenate: "...it also became a top ten hit in Australia and Canada." – remove "also" and hyphenate "top ten".
  • Hyphenate: "became a top 40 hit in Australia." – hyphenate "top 40".
  • Per WP:NUMERAL, comparable quantities should be written consistently as figures or should be spelled out. In other words, all chart tiers should be consistently formatted (top ten vs. top 40) and all chart positions should be consistently formatted (number one vs. number 40).

  • Even if it isn't used as a source, an external link to Discogs is a bit concerning due to its quality and wiki-like workings.
    • There's a fine line between external link and source, as discussed in the deletion review for the template. Similar to IMDB links appearing in film articles, Discogs links can appear on discography articles. Holiday56 (talk) 12:55, 26 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
