Original – "The Storm is a painting by French artist Pierre Auguste Cot, completed in 1880. Currently on display at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art, the painting was commissioned from the artist in 1880 by Catharine Lorillard Wolfe under the guidance of her cousin John Wolfe, one of Cot's principal patrons.
Reason
High resolution and good quality scan of a notable painting. Don't think we have any Cot featured.

  • If it's good enough, it'll get promoted, irrespective of previous. The person who organises the order of the images used on the front page will ensure that it isn't used immeditately after a similar image. gazhiley 17:26, 5 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Right. I do think I can manage it. We'll probably end up with a backlog (like our bird picture) but I can handle it. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 17:34, 5 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
