DANFS Look-alike[edit]

There is a useful template (I think that's what it's called) named {{DANFS}} used in articles that take material from a public domain U.S. government site called the Dictionary of American Naval Fighting Ships. There's a parallel publication called Dictionary of American Naval Aviation Squadrons, and I'd like to create a template (or whatever) to use in articles that rely on it. I think if I could see what's in the {{DANFS}} thing I could create the new one (but maybe not). Where do I find information about these things, how do I get started on creating one, etc.? Lou Sander (talk) 01:19, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You seem to be asking about Template:DANFS. Take a look at that page and you will see the first line of the template basically does what displays on each page. You would create another one just like any other article except that you'll precede the title with "Template:". Dismas|(talk) 03:19, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
To "see what's in the {{DANFS}} thing", click "View source" at the top of the page that Dismas linked. You can copy/paste the source code to a sandbox and play around with it. For general information about the creation of templates, see Help:Template. Deor (talk) 12:12, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
That is exactly it. I need to create, or have someone help me to create, a template exactly like Template:DANFS, with two exceptions: 1) replace the words "fighting ships" with the words "aircraft squadrons", and 2) eliminate the ability to make joint reference to the Naval Vessel Register (which seems to be done with a different template). The template would be Template:DANAS, and potentially it would be used as frequently as Template:DANFS. It looks like this wouldn't be difficult, but also that it needs to be done with great care, maybe by someone with special qualifications. (Now that I've looked further, I see there's an "edit request" function. I guess I'll just use it. Lou Sander (talk) 13:20, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Both the template {{DANAS}} and the empty category for where articles will go that use it have now been created. You may want to also work on bringing the article on the Dictionary of American Naval Aviation Squadrons up to the standard of the Dictionary of American Naval Fighting Ships. I changed Fighting Ships to Aviation Squadrons in each and deleted the note in indicating co-use with the NVR. Let me know what else to need.Naraht (talk) 16:40, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
This is GREAT! There's some discussion at Template_talk:DANFS that might indicate that several people are working on this, and need to coordinate. Template work is beyond my pay grade right now. Lou Sander (talk) 16:46, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I've chimed in. Part of the confusion is that there are two different DANFS templates being talked about. One the DANFS template is more of a note. The Cite DANFS template is more complicated. The first now has a DANAS template, Cite DANAS is probably going to take more work and more information on the authors of each piece.Naraht (talk) 16:54, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Account deletion[edit]

How to delete my account? — Preceding unsigned comment added by JCCrespin (talkcontribs) 04:50, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Because Wikipedia content is licensed under the GFDL and the CC-BY-SA, all edits must be kept for attribution purposes, and so your account cannot be deleted. You do, however, have the right to vanish, which you can exercise by (1) requesting your user page (found at Special:Mypage) and subpages be deleted, by adding the {{db-userreq}} template to them; (2) requesting to change your username to something that is unconnected with you (possibly a random collection of letters and numbers); (3) never logging in to your account again. The "right to vanish" does not mean anyone has the right to a fresh start under a new identity. Anyone who wants to continue editing should request a change of username instead so edits can be reattributed.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 06:06, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
You can make a request at Wikipedia:Oversight to see whether they will delete the two edits you have made. -- Jreferee (talk) 10:23, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I doubt that either would qualify for oversight.--ukexpat (talk) 18:30, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

editing an infobox[edit]

Hi. I've been trying to add additional details in the infobox section of the Krishan Kumar Modi article. But even after adding the necessary details, the additional text isn't reflected in the article. To be specific, when I add details of the subject's wife in the edit section, it doesn't show on the article, despite using the necessary Wikicode. Maybe I am doing something wrong. Can anyone help out?

Disojak (talk) 06:24, 3 February 2014 (UTC) DisojaK[reply]

Another editor has been actively editing Krishan Kumar Modi over the last several hours. Perhaps you encountered an edit conflict? Stigmatella aurantiaca (talk) 06:50, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Template:Infobox person doesn't have a "wife" field. So adding one to the article will not work. You can only use those fields that are already set up in the template. There is a "spouse" field, so you'd have to use that. Dismas|(talk) 07:01, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Need to change subject header of the wikipedia page[edit]

My organisation recently underwent a rebranding and a name change. How do I edit the subject header to feature the new name? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Icpascomms2011 (talkcontribs) 07:12, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The process is to move the article. As your account isn't autoconfirmed I have done the move for you. I have put a note on your user talk page regarding your user name. --David Biddulph (talk) 07:41, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia for businesses[edit]

Hi,

I am part of a company that has a Wikipedia page. I was wondering if there were any tips you could give me on how to make the page more of a source of information rather than an advert for the business.

Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.68.194.84 (talk) 09:06, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Since you are part of the company, edits that you can make to the article on that company are limited to those listed at WP:COIU. However, if you list the company name in this discussion thread, we can take a look at it and revise it. -- Jreferee (talk) 10:02, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
The company is Tamar.com — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.68.194.84 (talk) 11:01, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Tamar.com also reads like a resume due to the bulleted notable events list. Instead of "1995: Established by CEO Tanya Goodin" and "1997: Company moves to current premises in Chiswick." the article could read something like "Tamar.com was established in 1995 in London, England by Tanya Goodin as a marking company that specializes on online digitital brands (?). Two years later in 1997, the company moved to Chiswick, a district of west London." The article can be improved by using prose to describe the topic. Beyond "provide the rocket fuel which has ignited some of the UK’s most successful and profitable digital brands",[1] I don't know what you do to make money. As for the Wikipedia article "igniting digital brands" (what does that mean?), "driving online traffic" (how?), "Tamar’s offering" (is that some sort of religious sacrifice by the company?). Most of the sources I find under "tamara.com are press releases (PR Newswire, Marketwire, etc.). Press releases from Tamar.com are not independent of Tamar.com. Wikipedia articles should be written from Wikipedia reliable sources that are independent of Tamar.com. However, when I looked at information on Tanya Goodin, I do find independent reliable source information and name of the company is listed as Tamara. The article probably should be move from Tamar.com (which advertises the website is not the WP:COMMONNAME) to something like Tamara (company). -- Jreferee (talk) 11:41, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

That's really useful thank you!!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.68.194.84 (talk) 12:25, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

What do you call this?[edit]

Hi!

What do you call Kashf -e- hijab-کشف حجاب- in English?

As a description about this article: Kashf -e- hijab is part of history of Iran; in 1314 (Solar Hijri calendar)-about 80 years ago- in Iran, Rezā Shāh ruled that no woman allowed to wear hijab.--Freshman404 (talk) 13:08, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Not quite sure what you are asking, but did you try looking at the articles listed Hijab#See_also, or maybe one of these French_ban_on_face_covering#See_also or Hijab_by_country#Iran? articles do not necessarily translate one for one between the various language versions of Wikipedia.-- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 13:21, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I had check these articles, but they are not about Kashf-e-hijab (pronounce it as /kæʃfehejʌb/ ).

As I said above this is an historical law which forced women not to wear hijab.(Note that Iranian women wore hijab for more than 1000 years before that time.) And of course it is individual article which just have a common word with hijab.--Freshman404Talk 13:53, 3 February 2014 (UTC) I wonder if some one answer me!--Freshman404Talk 16:51, 4 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Help editing the pudsey wiki[edit]

Hi please can you assist as were confused about this message "Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Pudsey. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. Cogito-Ergo-Sum (14) (talk) 13:29, 3 February 2014 (UTC)", as we modelled it on an existing entry (pasted below).

"Having grown and developed, Pudsey Judo Club has recently found a new home in Farsley, and has attained the highly coveted Bronze Clubmark Award. It is recognised across Yorkshire and Humberside as a centre of excellence."

All I wanted to add to the pudsey runners bit was "The club is for new members whatever their goal or experience. They have qualified coaches and various LiRFS to help you achieve your ambition."

Is this not as neutral as the judo entry saying they are a "centre of ecxellence" or the pudsey pacers club saying that they are "region's most popular and well-known running clubs"?

Obviously we dont want to break any rules although we would like to expand slightly on the entry that the robot has edited. Thanks for your help — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pudseyru (talkcontribs) 14:14, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Given that Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of trivia, and that the statements about the various clubs were very poorly sourced, I have removed the information about the judo club and the two running clubs. Please don't try and attract members to your club via Wikipedia; it is regarded as advertising and is strongly frowned upon here. Yunshui  14:36, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sayed mohammedarif khatib, this page is for asking for help in editing Wikipedia, not for posting drafts of articles or information about organizations. Do you have a question about how to edit Wikipedia? Also, please stop posting duplicates and near dupliactes of this content to this page. It won't get you help any faster, and won't help anyone else either, it just clutters the page. DES (talk) 14:24, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Harry Marshall Jr.[edit]

A Wikipedia article regarding myself (Harry Marshall Jr) was taken down because of "unambiguous copyright infringement" with information appearing on the website of the University of Virginia School of Law Website. I am a member of the adjunct faculty at the Law school and provided the information about myself on the Website. How can I demonstrate that there is no copyright infringement?

Harry Marshall Jr — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.231.210.103 (talk) 15:37, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You would need an official communication from the copyright holder, presumably the University, to the Wikimedia foundation. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. But please be aware that even if copyright permission is granted, it is rare that text copied straight from an outside website would comply with such Wikipedia policies as Neutral point of view and encyclopedic tone. It would be much better if a new article was started from scratch, using the university web site as one of several sources, and citing facts properly to reliable sources. Moreover, if you are the subject of the article, it would be much best if you did not write it. See our conflict of interest policy and our guideline on autobiography. Also, please be sure that any article subject is notable, see WP:BIO and other pages linked there. If you do go ahead, i strongly urge the use of articles for creation. How do I display a list of all new articles created by me? by another editor?[edit]

How do I display a list of all the new articles I've created?

How do I display a list of all the new articles created by another editor?

Is there a way to set a filter to the "Special:Contributions" page so that only new page creations are displayed?

Contact Basemetal here 18:06, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

There are several tools out there to do this, but here's what I do: If you go to the bottom of your contributions page, you'll see a box with a bunch of useful links: one of them is 'Articles created'. You can do this with anyone's contributions page, or just replace your username in the URL with another user's :) ~SuperHamster Talk Contribs 18:20, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Europe map question[edit]

Countries in Europe with Burger King locations
Map of countries in Europe with Burger King locations

As noted in Talk:List of countries with Burger King franchises, this image does not represent a list of European countries with Burger King franchises, but rather a list of European countries in itself. Thus it is inadequate for the article. I thought I could make another version that only coloured those countries that have Burger King franchises, but how do I go about it? Is there an easy-to-use software available or do I have to colour each country by hand? JIP | Talk 19:24, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

There is fairly easy to use software. Inkscape is free and will do the job.
That said, if you do not want to learn a new software tool, there is Wikipedia:Graphics_Lab/Map_workshop, where volunteers are likely to do it for you.--S Philbrick(Talk) 19:37, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Change of username, contributions and SUL[edit]

About 15 months ago I had my username changed from Basemetal00 to Basemetal.

On the English Wikipedia all my contributions were transferred from one username to the other: when you display Contributions by Basemetal on the English WP you also see those edits made under Basemetal00 and when you try to display Contributions by Basemetal00 on the English WP you get nothing. This is as it should be.

But, despite SUL, this does not happen on Wikipedias in other languages. There (I'll demonstrate what happens on the German Wikipedia) Contributions by Basemetal on the German WP and Contributions by Basemetal00 on the German WP show separately and of course edits made under Basemetal00 do not show up under Basemetal.

How come, despite of SUL, something like this can happen? Can this be fixed? Should this be considered a bug?

It's not so much that I really care about two old edits not showing up. It's more that I'm concerned about the technical implications of this in terms of the robustness of the software.

Are you sure your account was completely unified at the time? I thought it was supposed to move over at all wikis... (I know you could request usurpation at the wikis in question to at least rectify the error.) - Purplewowies (talk) 02:18, 4 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@Basemetal: Renameing is local, so only your en contributions are moved. You need to request it separately on every Wikipedia you edit on. However, in the future, you will be able to ask over at Meta Wiki for it to be done globally. --Mdann52talk to me! 08:29, 4 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A new section starts here[edit]

ive received this message "Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. Please read the comments left by the reviewer on your submission. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit when they have been resolved." bit i cant for the life of me find the reasons why the reviewer has rejected it or find what hes done with my article. My article was neutral & was basically copied from an existing wiki page so I cant sdee why it was re. can you tell me why? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pudseyru (talkcontribs) 19:51, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I'm assuming you mean the submission of User:Pudseyru/Pudsey Runners Running Club. It seems to be declined as non-notable.
The comment underneath reads "Lack of any claims of notability. No independent references to support or establish notability."
Sorry :(
You could always re-write it, with third-party sources and explain why it's notable, then re-submit. Both are absolute requirements, even if it's a really well-written article. meteor_sandwich_yum (talk) 20:17, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I am pretty sure he couldn't rewrite it in a way that explained why it's notable, because I am pretty sure the Pudsey Runners Running Club is not notable. Encouraging new contributors to work on articles that are destined for oblivion strikes me as cruel. Maproom (talk) 09:03, 4 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
If what you were copying from was some of the earlier content at Pudsey, there was an answer to your earlier question at #Help editing the pudsey wiki above, and the unsatisfactory material has been removed. --David Biddulph (talk) 20:22, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

How do I use a named footnote more than once?[edit]

On WP:NAMEDREFS, it says to include a given reference within <ref name>...</ref> tags.
On WP:REFGROUP, it says to include a note (for the "Note" section) within <ref name=note>...</ref> tags.

Yet when I went to use an explanatory note more than once with <ref group=note><ref name=example>...</ref></ref> it returned an error message.

I realize the "hack" workaround {{#tag:ref|<ref>...</ref>}} exists but was wondering if there is some easy alternative like "<ref group=note; name=example>...</ref>" or something. If not, I can bear. Just wondering :) meteor_sandwich_yum (talk) 20:09, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

That was almost right: <ref group=note name=example>...</ref> should work, without that semicolon. -- John of Reading (talk) 21:02, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi

Please could you help me with a problem on this page Lauren Crace's theatre Credits are in the wrong place on her page and not under the heading of Theatre Credits. but instead it is under the external links. I really don't know what i am supposed to do about this because i am not that good on using Wikipedia.

Wikipedia's table syntax isn't easy, is it? That's what happens when the "end of table" marker, |}, is damaged. I've fixed the article. -- John of Reading (talk) 21:06, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
the fetish for tables is unexplainable. there is no need for table in that article, and now everyone should be able to easily edit the content without having to worry about breaking anything. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 22:09, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Resubmitting an article[edit]

OK, SO I edited my new article and added more citations. However I'd like to resubmit it. There's no actual RESUBMIT button. So I was wondering, does the article get resubmitted after editing? The article name is North Coast Security Group. OR Will I have create a new article for it to be published?

Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Leldrid (talkcontribs) 21:25, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

In [2] you deleted the first review. Don't delete reviews. I have restored it. It makes a Resubmit button. PrimeHunter (talk) 21:31, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Before resubmitting you should have read the feedback from the previous review. In the box at the top of the draft it says (inter alia):
"This submission is not adequately supported by reliable sources. Reliable sources are required so that information can be verified. If you need help with referencing, please see Referencing for beginners and Citing sources."
The various words in blue are wikilinks, so you should follow them and read what it says in the links provided. Alongside the resubmit button it says "Please note that if the issues are not fixed, the draft will be rejected again.", and of course that is what has happened to your resubmission. In your draft, instead of references you have numerous external links in the body of the article text, and these are not permitted. Those which are relevant to support the text should be converted to references, and any others removed. --David Biddulph (talk) 05:22, 4 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

remove my name and nero name from alliance larp entry.[edit]

Alliance LARP

this page should be deleted, it has my name on it, the info has not been verified and its full of lies. Joseph Valenti

Long legal complaint about an article

my name is joseph valenti. This page should be deleted. this guy is one big fraud and is not very well known except for his trademark and infringement actions. Everything mentioned here-in is one-sided and pretty much a lie. Micheal Ventrella has already lost over and over again to me, three times in mediation, one of which was federally mandated, but he keeps resurfacing using another name but still using my i.p. He is currently copyright infringing upon my NERO Rule book copyright, and licensing the use of my rules to others. I see a bunch of copyrights here.... all of these copyrights mentioned here-in I see have my text from my literary work nero rule book - in them. this company wasn't around since 1989 - what a nice lie that is! I think that the groups age is clear if you took a look at the website registration, or any of the rule book copyrights, or looked at 'why he created alliance' in the first place, and when (in 2007 when I beat him in federal court during mediation). He keeps using the lie of 1989 so he gets more recognition for 'being around so long' and uses it to fraudulently convince people he is someone of importance when really he is only a license breaker, a nero trademark infringer, and NERO intellectual property infringer. I will gladly send you a document written by Michael Ventrella that bespeaks of him using the nero name and rules until I he loses in court if you contact me via e-mail, or tel. (Redacted). It wasn't Turbulence from NERO ford Ivey and me, Joseph Valenti - it was a cease and desist when he violated my licensed area in PA. NOT A SINGLE NERO CHAPTER WENT WITH MICHAEL VENTRELLA - ANOTHER OUTRIGHT LIE. I contact the infringers and convince them to get an attorney other than Ventrella, and using this method I have closed about a dozen or so 'nero alliance' chapters down in the past. I have just recently fond out he is still around and using my NERO Trademark and my copyrighted materials, and has opened a few more of his 'chapters'. I am currently in the process of developing suits against everyone of his 'chapters', and him, in federal courts around the country, ALL of whom are using my copyrighted intellectual property. My NERO Rule book copyright is TX-4-003-776. Michael Ventrella's all are dated after my copyright - and include my literary work in his publications. NERO was created by Ford Ivey, I bought NERO from Ford Ivey in August 1998. Michael Ventrella, an attorney in PA, is a copyright infringer on my i.p. and a fraud in his sales of alliance chapters and the use of my i.p. to generate commerce. the monster camp movie was denounced by the very producers when they found out the movie was made about an infringing company that no longer exists by the way. Contact them and ask them. Delete any and all references to NERO on this page, since I own the trademark and I have not given Michael Ventrella permission to use the name on any page in any way shape or form. My name is joseph valenti and I attest that everything I have stated here is the total truth - Feb 03 2014 JValentiNero (talk) 21:51, 3 February 2014 (UTC) I can be contacted by telephone at (Redacted).[reply]

and then - I wrote this one...

the alliance larp entry has a ton of lies in it that were NEVER VALIDATED. It has my name in it - joe valenti - in sentences that were never verified.

this entire page has never been verified and is full of lies. the copyright information linked here shows works that infringe upon my copy-written materials. joseph valenti - (Redacted) -

At about 3pm on 2-3-2014 I went out and corrected the page, but it was revered by cluebot, so I looked for the help desk to help me figure out how to get someone to explain what I need to do to things right and be read.. so the page gets deleted or my info be removed since its defaming me and false.

Below is what I wrote into the section….

Text inserted by the OP, and removed by cluebot

History[edit]

-- My name is Joseph Valenti, and I own the intellectual property Michael Ventrella is unlawfully renting to others. -- I have been, and continue to protect my i.p. from this person. -- I re-wrote this entry for you and tried to show you the inconsistencies in your own policies along the way. -- This is the best I can do in such short notice, but the general gist is correct. -- Note that one of your staff deleted my Talk about why this page should be deleted, and I noted that the alliance larp page has lies galore on it and info that was never verified, ever, which is the very reason why my info was deleted from the talk page. -- Please, if you're not going to let my writings remain, keep my name and company and the word - nero - off this 'alliance larp' page unless you contact me directly to get information verified and things in writing. -- You should delete this alliance larp page altogether, if my info remains I will be forced to come here everyday and check the info on it and get it changed to what is correct. -- The info about me is a Lie, and it is defaming my character with intent to harm my business and 'on Wikipedia people are allowing it to remain on the site in the public view, take it to bne the truth' and that means we already have a serious problem on our hands, and we're going to have a more serious problem. -- Do not change the text. The anonymous person 'EatsShootsAndLeaves' is probably related to 'alliance' organization. please keep that person away from me and my posts. Joseph Valenti - (Redacted) - February 03, 2014 -

In mid March 1998, after years of getting cease and desist letters from the New England Role Playing Organization (NERO) owner Ford Ivey, Michael A. Ventrella split his chapter from NERO and started his own business called NERO Alliance, being immediately accused by Ford Ivey of Trademark infringement and copyright infringement.

NOT A SINGLE NERO CHAPTER OWNERS LEFT NERO AND JOINED MICHALEL VENTRELLA in the new 'NERO Alliance' organization. (I, joseph valenti, will correct the information for Wikipedia since they DID NOT VERIFY the information before allowing it on their website - breaking their own policies that they enforce against me.)

The NERO assets, including the nero rule book copyright and trademark, was purchased by Joseph Valenti on august 03, 1998 and Joseph began contacting all the unlawfully licensed 'nero alliance' chapters to get them to speak to any lawyer about the lawsuit he was threatening, until November, 2005 when Michael Ventrella, desperate to stop losing chapters, filed a Frivolous lawsuit against NERO International (yo, Wikipedia people. this is the wrong name and it was never verified so you violate your own rules). Mike found out he had no case and joseph Owned NERO and the NERO i.p. and Mike dropped the lawsuit.

"""At this point, Mike decided to distance himself from NERO and in March 2007 he renamed his company to The Alliance LARP. """"" WHAT ???? Caught in a lie - info that is not verified on a wikipedia site goes against Wikipedia rules. ALSO - the alliancelarp.com facebook or website say's """since 1989""" ; another LIE! --- And someone on Wikipedia staff wants this page to be kept on Wikipedia - sounds like an internal review is needed!

Mike Ventrella continued his copyright infringement of NERO's I.P. and published another book in 2009 that contained the nero i.p. in it.

The Alliance continues to lose its chapters when joseph valenti contacts them and has a truthful yet respectful conversation with them - they learn they are infringing too, and they close thier business.

The alliance has added several new chapters since the end of the lawsuit - but a little research shows that most 'nero alliance' chapters left Michael's organization altogether when they found out that Michael Ventrella does not own NERO (he changed his name away from it) and they knew they were going to get sued if they continued to operate after 2007. After all, Michael Ventrella did state, publicly, that he was going to go all the way against me, Joseph Valenti, when he frivolously sued me, but then he let the lawsuit drop, signaling his loss.

In 2007, he and others formed Faire Play Inc. and purchased land in northeastern Pennsylvania where they are building a medieval town used for LARPing.

On April 26, 2009, Alliance LARP was featured in a G4 Underground episode.[1]

thank you Joseph Valenti

Hello, Joseph. The article Alliance LARP is currently unsatisfactory, because its content is not referenced to reliable sources. The text you inserted was equally unacceptable for the same reason, which is why Cluebot reverted your change. TheRedPenOfDoom has made a number of changes to improve the current article, but it still remains unreferenced, and therefore does not establish that the subject is notable (in Wikipedia's special sense). For this reason the article is currently being discussed for deletion, as it says at the top.
If the consensus at the deletion discussion is to keep, then your best course is, after reading about how to proceed if you have a Conflict of interest to post on the article's talk page your suggestions for what should be changed, with references to reliable sources independent of the subject.
Wikipedia takes no position on your dispute with Michael Ventrella, and will go entirely on what reliable sources unconnected with either of you have said about the subject. --ColinFine (talk) 14:02, 4 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

start - and once again no information is given. We'll wait and see the results of the review. until then, I stay away from Wikipedia and tell everyone I know to stay away too. 96.239.33.245 (talk) 18:12, 4 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
