None of those individuals look to me anything like her photo at Opera Australia or other stage photos. Also: 1) I can't find any record of J. Dark ever having performed in Sweeney Todd; there is one reference which mentions both, but it doesn't actually say she played in the musical — it is somewhat unlikely, given that Dark is an opera singer. 2) Even if it's an image of her, it is thoroughly unsuitable.   • This non-free image is not low-resolution and is not being used in compliance with its licensing tag. As a scan of a newspaper page, it must be used "to illustrate either the publication of the article or issue in question", but it isn't. It's merely being used to show that Tim Russert's death was front-page news, which can be adequately expressed by text. Comment - The image size has been reduced to 400 pixels on it's longest side. This is still large enough to read enough of the text on this newspaper front page satisfying it's purpose in the article. That hopefully resolves resolution concerns. As for it's use in the article in question, the image serves as a specific example to the topic covered in that section. No there aren't pointed references to the image in the section's text but there doesn't need to be. If others disagree and think the article can be improved by some discussion which specifically references this image, that's going to have to wait until the article is unprotected. For what it's worth, the Reaction to Tim Russert's death article has gone through a heated AFD recently and all images on that page have had fair-use dispute tags added and removed over the past couple days.--Rtphokie (talk) 11:26, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Image size is no longer an issue. If the article isn't kept, the image will have to be deleted as orphaned anyway. If the article is kept, the image isn't being used in compliance with its tag or with WP:NFCC#8. This image is a screen capture from a television program about the media which was seen in newspapers around the country.   • WP:ADIEU - the image was fine when I uploaded it and included text in the article that made it fair use without controversy. However, it was just days before an organized tribe from some right-wing Internet forum organized off-wiki to descend upon Wikipedia to "reshape" the article according to their agenda, and now that text is no longer in the article. I reverted once but it was reverted again, and I don't have time, nor am I inclined, to organize a counter-tribe and put on warrior feather to keep any text. I've got a lot better things than to deal with that sort of unchecked idiocy, so at this point I don't care what happens to either the image, the article, or Wikipedia. I bid you adieu. If that were true, then, clearly, the only correct solution would be that we shouldn't have an article about it in the first place. In any case, the information that "people queued up for something", sourced or not, doesn't need this image to be understood. Serving as a source to prove some fact we have no other source for is not normally something we use to justify non-free images. In any case, for that purpose you can just reference the source from which the image is taken, rather than copy the image itself. Plus, the source in this case isn't an independent one anyway. Is the source not an independent source? I wasn't sure when putting a tag on the image, but now that I think of it, Nintendo owned the magazine (now Future does) and Enix (now Square Enix) are the producers of the game in question. Well, it was a game for the Nintendo, so a Nintendo magazine would obviously have a promotional agenda in writing about it.   • Keep Delete Image is not replaceable or able to be replicated. As such, it is could be a Fair Use image, but it should be clearly annotated as such with a better Fair Use Rationale. However, I concur that a description of the scene would be sufficient as there is nothing about the scene that "The line was XXX people long and it wrapped around the block(s)" doesn't describe.
