7–9 PM
Cove: 1730 Connecticut Avenue NW, 2nd Floor
What is the WikiSalon?
The WikiSalon is an informal meetup typically held during the second Wednesday of every month from 7 PM to 9 PM. Salons are casual gatherings of Wikimedia enthusiasts where participants can freely discuss and participate in Wikimedia wikis and the free culture movement. There's no set agenda and guests are welcome to recommend articles for the group to edit or edit on their own.
Where is it?
The next WikiSalon will be held at the Cove co-working site at 1730 Connecticut Avenue NW. If you're coming by Metro, the closest station is Dupont Circle on the Red Line, north exit. If you're driving, a lot of parking opens up on Connecticut Avenue and the surrounding neighborhood after 6:30 PM, so finding a parking space (even a free one) should be relatively easy. Once you've found the building, go to Cove on the second floor. We will be in the conference room.
Is food served?
Yes! Free pizza is provided. In addition, coffee, tea and soft drinks are available on-site. You're also welcome to bring your own dinner or snacks to share!
How do I RSVP?
You don't! The idea of a Salon is to show up and leave when you please. Salons are casual get-togethers that do not require signing up beforehand.
