The Wikipedia Kuala Lumpur Meetup 1 (the 2nd Wikipedia Malaysia Meetup) was the first Wikipedia meetup held at the capital city of Malaysia. The meetup was held on:

Things to bring[edit]

  • Laptop or tablet
  • Notebook/pen/pencil
  • Portable modem (there may be no access to Wi-Fi at the venue)
  • Multiple cable extensions (to accommodate other laptop/tablet users of electricity)
  • Camera (for group photo shooting)

  • To figure out more information on official subdivision areas of Kuala Lumpur
  • To improve public-domained government data about Malaysia
  • To introduce Wikipedia to colleges and universities
  • To get statistical data for Wikipedia
  • To get more information on free meeting places to have future Wikipedia Meetups in big cities

  • Discussion for Malaysia-related articles in general
  • Discussion on Jimmy Wales visiting Malacca previously
  • Discussion about article numbers are no longer the benchmarking level for Wikipedia active levels
