Wikipedians in Melbourne hold regular meetups on a quarterly basis, with informal meetups occasionally held in between. At the meetup we usually have some experienced users available to provide advice on any questions you may have about editing or understanding a particular aspect of Wikipedia, as well as ways to get more engaged with the Wikimedia movement. If you have ideas for discussion topics, or have a specific question to be addressed, please list them on the next meetup page.

In 2012, regular meetups were run by Wikimedia Australia, generally at Computerbank, which saw a more engaged Melbourne Wikimedia community, and editing workshops held in various locations. Since 2013, Wikipedia meetups have been supported by Wikimedia Australia where local interest has been shown. Funding is available for events, food and venue hire for local meetups. More information can be found at wmau:Proposal:Wikimedia Australia Meetups.
