The Wikipedia training and Edit-a-thon will take place at the Trend Cafe located in the basement of Wallis Hall on the Traill College Campus.

Event details[edit]

Please bring a laptop with you!

  • If you'd like to get a head start, stop by Artspace at 378 Aylmer St N, Peterborough, on Saturday February 20th between noon and 4:00 pm for help registering.

What should I work on?[edit]

  • If you have 1 hour or less, watch some training videos and learn more about editing Wikipedia.
  • If you have 90 minutes, watch some training videos and add some citations to an article in your area of expertise.
  • If you have 2 hours, watch some training videos and add a well cited paragraph to an article in your area of expertise.
  • If you have 2-4 hours, consider creating a draft or new article. Be sure to gather your reliable sources and check in with an experienced Wikipedian to ensure that your article meets Wikipedia's notability guidelines.
