Everyone is cordially invited to attend a Wiknic on the shores of Vacation Isle, San Diego. This will be the 126th meetup in San Diego County.

The goal of this event is to have an in person social meetup. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own food and beverages for themselves to consume; and may share with others if they feel comfortable doing so.

Getting there

Vacation Isle, San Diego is located within the center of Mission Bay, northwest of SeaWorld San Diego and south of Pacific Beach, San Diego. Carpooling is recommended. Public transit is possible, however not advised, as the nearest bus stop is 0.4 miles (0.64 km) away, and the route serving the stop has its final run around 9:00PM/2100.

Night time activities

Beginning at sunset, we will have a bonfire (this year the bronies will not be joining us). For those planning to stay for the bonfire, we kindly request that you please bring some combustible materials for the evening bonfire. Locally purchased (for example, grocery store chain) firewood is acceptable.

In addition, SeaWorld San Diego will be launching fireworks on the evening of August 16, which will be visible from the site of the event.

This was wonderful fun! Thank you RCLC for all the prep work you did to make this a delightful event. Your early arrival and selection of the point gifted us all amazing views from one bridge from the ocean, through to the bridge entrance to the SeaWorld fireworks area. Looking forward to next year (when we bring warmer jackets to wear against the cool ocean breezes, and a pup-tent sign to give directions to the main tent, lol!) I now treasure my Wiki-button gift, too! You're the Wiki-MAN, RCLC!!
