Wikipedia:One click archiving

There are several user scripts that allow users to perform one click archiving and multi-section archiving.

One click archiving (1CA)

Adds "Archive" links to the top right of each talk page section. Clicking a link archives that section immediately.

Script variants used for 1-click archiving

Multi-section archiving (0CA)

Adds a "ⵙCA" link to the "Tools" menu (called "More" in Vector 2010). Clicking that link puts the page in a mode where you can select which sections to archive, then press an additional button to complete all the archiving at once.

User:andrybak/Scripts/Archiver (created 2024) – fork of User:Enterprisey/archiver with support for more skins, doesn't require manually typing archive pagename in most cases

Usage

Please consider not using any of these tools on talk pages you're otherwise not involved in. Also please respect local consensus regarding archiving old discussions; for instance, if you see parameters for an archive bot, that probably means you archiving (using these tools or otherwise) isn't necessary or even appreciated.^[a] Also please consider not emptying out talk pages completely or reducing the number of topics below four (4). Some editors find a blanked-out talk page^[b] visually jarring/unfamiliar and significantly less welcoming to newbie editors (keeping some existing discussions - even if very old - is a very user-friendly way of saying "you are welcome to contribute here"). Thank you for your understanding.
