August 19[edit]

Best Buy commercial[edit]

Can someone tell me who the woman is who stars in the Best Buy commercial with the stadium full of blue-shirted employees where she says "I hate my cell phone", and at the end asks "is time travel possible" and one guy proclaims "yes, I am from the future"? (talk) 01:40, 19 August 2009 (UTC)

An old animated movie about a little wolf.[edit]

I remember reading about traditional animation once here and came across a, what I believe to be russian, animated film about a little wolf. It may have been part of a series of short scenes in one but one was about a wolf, and I remember the picture of a gray wolf next to an oven. This may not be enough information but I would really love to read more about it. I may have been reading about traditional animation and this was a very old movie. —Preceding unsigned comment added by (talk) 08:23, 19 August 2009 (UTC)

We have an article on Nu pogodi / 1969 / Soviet Union, which featured a wolf and a hare. --Cookatoo.ergo.ZooM (talk) 10:37, 19 August 2009 (UTC)
Possibly it was an adaptation of Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf? Mitch Ames (talk) 11:24, 19 August 2009 (UTC)

The East is Red musical[edit]

Does anyone know where I might obtain a copy of The East is Red musical? The article states that it is "commercially available today on both CD and video" but this claime is unsourced and searches on amazon/ebay etc give me nothing about the 1965 film version. Being unable to find it I then thought because there is probably no copyright on the film (a work of the Communist party of China) that it would be a easy find on file sharing sites. But this turned out to be false. In the end all I could find was this horrible quality Google video upload: Link. Does anyone know where I might optain a copy? Preferably a dvd.

Thanks.--SelfQ (talk) 17:20, 19 August 2009 (UTC)

How does the robber know[edit]

When Jules demands his wallet back, The robber reaches into the trashbag full of all of the customers wallets and gives him his back. How did he know which one belonged to Jules. (talk) 23:57, 19 August 2009 (UTC)

Because Jules tells him "It's the one that says Bad Motherfucker." Algebraist 00:01, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
OK, Now it all makes sense, thanks. (talk) 00:06, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
If not for Algebraist's answer, I'd never have guessed that this is about Pulp Fiction. —Tamfang (talk) 03:57, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
I was impressed as well. Given the lack of precise info in the question, to get the answer from there was good work! Grutness...wha? 07:45, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
I guess you guys aren't film buffs! =) That's a pretty iconic scene. -- Captain Disdain (talk) 08:24, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
It was familiar right away, and Algebraist beat me to it. :) Pulp Fiction is loaded with good stuff. Meanwhile, I'm getting hungry. I think I'll go out and have a Royale with Cheese. :b Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots 08:27, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
"I'm gonna order a big plate of blueberry pancakes with maple syrup, eggs over easy, and five sausages." 10draftsdeep (talk) 14:31, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

Odd that you could watch this scene and not get that information. As I recal the robber (Pumpkin?) asks "how do I know which one is yours"? to which Jules replies "It's the one...etc." (talk) 16:30, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

So what was in the briefcase? ---Sluzzelin talk 16:56, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

Jules' other wallet. But seriously, its never said. Livewireo (talk) 18:02, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

As noted below in "Whats written on the rock?" the poster already knows the answer and is just messing with us. Is that appropriate? I think not. But no one is compelled to answer, either. Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots 00:40, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
