  • In History, you start "Forte was established by CD Morgan III in 1978." Too early for shorthand. Presumably you mean Forté, not Forte, and presumably you are referring to the Forté Profile, or the Forté Communications Style Profile. Use the formal name for the first time here, then if you want a shorthand, put it in parentheses for future use. E.g. "Forté Communications Style Profile(Forté)".
  • Is "established" the right word?
  • That first sentence requires a citation.
  • In the fourth paragraph of History you refer to Likert without explaining it. A wikilink is fine, and that comes later, but the first use should be wikilinked.
  • None of the references you provide have urls. That is not a requirement for a WP article, but it does make it hard for reviewers and people interested in looking at the underlying references. If there are none, then there are none, but I checked the first one and found it. I added a reference, rather than replacing yours, in case I'm missing something (I guessed at the issue and volume, but I think I got it right.)
  • The last ten references are just floating, unconnected to anything. Are they in preparation for more to come?--SPhilbrickT 14:50, 5 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hinged expansion joint[edit]

Would greatly appreciate any feedback on this new article on hinged expansion joints!

  • I don't understand the phrase "can rotate in a single plane". I'm not familiar with these items, but it sounds like, if you map the object to three dimensional space, such that the Z axis is parallel to the flow, that distortions can be expressed as a change in Z with no change in X or Y. I may be wrong on that point. But if that's correct, I don't believe one can rotate in a single plane and preserve those constraints. In fact, just the opposite—a rotation in a plane results in a change in X and Y, but not change in Z.
  • More clarity is needed.

Thank you for reviewing my article. - To clarify a bit, with the flow parallel with the Z axis, there is no change in Z. And if there is a change in Y, the joint will rotate on the X asix, thus rotating in a single plane.

I still don't get it. That description means that the the pipe will twist, but not lengthen. I don't see how that is an expansion joint. (I did remove the template).--SPhilbrickT 16:20, 6 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
