This page is for requesting that a page, file or template be protected. Please read up on the protection policy. Full protection is used to stop edit warring between multiple users or to prevent vandalism to high-risk templates; semi-protection and pending changes are usually used only to prevent IP and new user vandalism (see the rough guide to semi-protection); and move protection is used to stop pagemove revert wars. Extended confirmed protection is used where semi-protection has proved insufficient (see the rough guide to extended confirmed protection) After a page has been protected, the protection is listed in the page history and logs with a short description indicating why it was protected, and the article is listed on Special:Protectedpages. Further discussion should take place on the Talk page of the article. In the case of full protection due to edit warring, admins do not revert to specific versions of the page, except to get rid of obvious vandalism. Note: Editors should not consider requesting page protection as a method for continuing an argument from elsewhere nor as a venue for starting a new discussion regarding article content. If a request contains excessive argument, appears to be intended to resolve a content dispute, includes personal attacks or uncivil comments, or has any other unrelated discussion, it will be removed from this page and no action will be taken.

Reason :There is no information at all about ritual suicide for spiritual reasons.
Many, many individuals in communist-occupied Tibet commit suicide in an ancient ritual called “Taking the Body of Buddha in Fire”. It is not an attempt to criticize current government. It is not an act of desperation. It is not a personal dissatisfaction with their lives. It doesnt create better conditions for others in society.
This kind of suicide is not presented in the article.
In fact, only negative views of suicide are presented, the decision to commit suicide is considered “irrational”?
Moreover, the article is LOCKED for editing. Seems like a personal control issue for somebody.

- First off: I'm a newbie here—forgive formatting faux pas.
I am requesting un-"salting" of the topic of Christine Weston Chandler—formally known as Christian Weston Chandler. I believe that page is protected indefinitely from being re-created.
Reason: given her recent appearances in large mainstream publications, the wiki dedicated to her existence (currently overloaded with queries, I might add), fourteen years of meticulous documentation by thousands of people, and her status as possibly the most visible internet trolling victim of all time, I think she's cleared notability requirements.
It may be time to consider un-salting this topic... VERY CAREFULLY. It should probably have indefinite autoconfirm protection at a minimum. (Ironic coming from an IP editor—I am aware)
Is there a better place to pitch this, or have I come to the right place?
