As per Wikipedia:Templates for discussion/Log/2012 June 25#Template:Ll another template that does nothing except render links in an unnecessary/nonstandard way. Barely used but if it were should simply be replaced with standard links JohnBlackburnewordsdeeds 17:27, 7 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Template:Truro City F.C. managers (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)

Navbox is overkill and not needed per WP:NENAN. It only links two articles with no scope to be expanded since this is a list of managers for a low-level football team. BigDom (talk) 14:59, 7 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • comment are there any other "low-level" teams in Category:England football manager history navigational boxes (e.g., Template:Welling United F.C. managers)? if many of the other low-level clubs have these templates, then I would say keep this one. Frietjes (talk) 15:18, 10 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
    • Yes, other low-level teams have these navboxes but most of them, such as the one you linked, have enough blue links to be useful. I didn't nominate this template because of the club plays at, but the lack of links in it; a navbox that only has two things in it is pointless. BigDom (talk) 15:56, 10 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
      • I added Hodges and Newton, so there are now four managers linked by the box. I'm not sure if the others have articles (or are notable enough to have articles, e.g. Chris Webb). Frietjes (talk) 15:29, 14 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Delete and replace with {{aan}}. It seems to be a less versatile version of {{aan}}. Also, if no parameters are specified it gives an "expansion depth exceeded error and the page with the template shows up in Category:Pages where expansion depth is exceeded. Alternatively, the template could be fixed. -- Alan Liefting (talk - contribs) 09:16, 7 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Used by only one article, and there aren't enough articles currently to support a dedicated sub-infobox. Izno (talk) 03:50, 7 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete as redundant to {{Infobox character}}. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 10:07, 8 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • substitute, since it is being used as a child/module for the video game character box. it's not redundant to {{infobox character}} since there are no fields in common. Frietjes (talk) 15:20, 10 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I would say that's unnecessary. There's a significant consensus (somewhere!) which suggests that these sub-infoboxes are on the wrong side of WP:GAMEGUIDE. I also nominated this one because it's a low-hanging fruit on the point. I'll probably bring up the more widely used ones at WP:VG/GL. --Izno (talk) 15:24, 10 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Seems to be too soon for this navbox, which navigates between just one song, the artist's record label, and a tour where she served as opening act for some of the shows.  Gongshow Talk 02:59, 7 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Navbox does not appear necessary (WP:NENAN), navigating between only three articles (two band members - each linked to twice - and the group's record label) beyond the band's main page.  Gongshow Talk 02:54, 7 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • delete, only navigates people, not singles/albums and the people are already well connected through the band page. Frietjes (talk) 15:21, 10 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
