This template seems to serve no useful purpose for two reasons:

  1. It is mis-named and mis-titled, since the overwhelming majority of the links within are not articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights but are instead drawn from the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, which means that the 'article numbers' listed are non-sequential and incoherent; and
  2. The links are not to Wikipedia pages about the human rights instruments but to pages about the broader concepts (in some cases a bit tenuous, eg "right to a nationality" linking to nationality - which is nothing to do with the right thereto - and "right to participation in government" linking to public participation, which isn't really the same thing at all. And these are just examples.

Overall, it's a nice idea for a template but on close rexmination it is incoherent, incorrect and unhelpful, and I think ti does more harm than good . Amisom (talk) 13:17, 17 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
