This is currently postponed until there is more active support from people who are going to produce for this. I had hoped there would be more interest/support in this from the WP:Film veteran editors.

The Golden Hollywood Contest
(1927-1963)

This is a planned contest/editathon to be held for American cinema between 1927 and 1963, the so-called "Golden Hollywood" period of Classical American cinema. The focus will be on quality, improving core articles on actors, directors, films and related content and fleshing out stubs/start class articles and cleanup on articles which perhaps should be a lot better than they currently are. It's still in its infancy and unsure of when it would be held as I might be busy with other things, possibly December/Christmas time, but if you would be interested in participating and see potential in this we can get the ball rolling as soon as possible. I think it's an area which could potentially generate a lot of interest and something which could be run fairly regularly, though I may not always be the one to judge it.♦ Dr. Blofeld 10:31, 18 August 2016 (UTC) Scoring Any article with a ghastly tag or totally unsourced – 5 points Minor cleanup of article references/prose without much expansion – 5 points New article – 10 points (As the purpose of the contest is partly towards reducing the stub count, please try to ensure that new entries are minimum 1.5 kb of readable prose.)
