Welcome to WikiProject Mauritius on the English Wikipedia! We are a project dedicated to improving Wikipedia's coverage of topics related to Mauritius, with an emphasis on subjects with regional and national significance. This project was formed to coordinate the development of Mauritius related articles and help maintain the Mauritius Portal. Some project goals are to help list and categorize Mauritius related articles, develop quality standards for articles and build templates that help users browse the articles that fall under this project. This project also provides a place for Wikipedians to share information and resources regarding improvements to Mauritius related articles. Here, editors can ask for help with certain articles and bring otherwise overlooked articles and problems, to the attention of other editors. This group includes within its scope all articles related to Mauritius, its cities, geography, transportation, culture, history and so on. It aims to expand Wikipedia's resources on Mauritius in a fair and accurate manner. All of these articles should be contained within the Category:Mauritius or one of its subcategories.

The Mauritian Wikipedia have been started Mauritian Creole Test-Wikipedia here. You can start contributing to articles in Mauritian creole there. When a sufficient number of good articles have been created (ie. 100+ or 200+), the test-project can then qualify to become a real Wikipedia.
