Naming[edit]

The article name should be the full name of the organization, event or award. Non-English organizations should use the romanized version of the name with the verifiable English name (if any) translated in parentheses.

Reservations

Some organizations have reservations (or some similar name) that are a group of camps. Such camps should have separate articles only if they meet the standard notability tests and a full article can be created.

Origins or History Include history before the property was used as a Scout camp and thereafter; include the reasoning behind the camp name
Programs and activities Describe the notable programs; seasonal availability; target

Reservations should include descriptions of the sub-camps; Individual, named camping sites may be listed in order to include the history behind the names, but should include a common description

Information to exclude

Do not include cruft such as

  • Staff or alumni unless they really meet notability standards
  • Detailed information presented in other articles; include a short synopsis with a link to the proper article
  • Non-notable building details, such as the number of fridges in the kitchen, construction of latrines and the like
  • Individual campsite details within a larger camp; a short, common description is preferred
  • Lyrics to camp specific songs or prayers not used nationally
