edit · changes

Welcome to the West Midlands WikiProject, a collaboration area and group of editors dedicated to improving the quality of Wikipedia's coverage of:

There are currently no WikiProjects for the Midlands or any individual cities which lie within the West Midlands and as the area is a major part in the geography and economy of the United Kingdom, a WikiProject would be the best way to manage all articles that fall under this category.

The West Midlands region is large and therefore, as to keep organisation within the WikiProject, the project will primarily focus upon the areas listed above as there are enough articles within the above categories to keep the WikiProject busy.

The aim is to give all articles in the project a standard structure for their topic. For example, all villages and towns should receive an Infobox on the right of the page.

  • To expand and improve articles relating to the West Midlands county and conurbation.
  • To improve the coverage of information on the West Midlands.
  • To improve as many articles in the West Midlands category to the highest standard - Featured Article Status.

Sub projects[edit]

  • WikiProject Coventry is a sub-project to the WikiProject West Midlands, its parent project. The Coventry project has shared aims of its parent project to improve and organise West Midlands pages, but with a focus on pages related to Coventry.

Proposed deletions
  • 29 Jun 2015 – Epic Skate Park (talk · edit · hist) was PRODed by BarrelProof (t · c): The article cites no reliable sources to establish the notability of the topic. The only source used by the article seems to be the self-published promotional web site of the skate park itself.
