The monthly article improvement drive is currently inactive.

The monthly improvement drive is a plan used by the West Midlands WikiProject to focus its attentions upon one article each month. The aim is to expand the article to the highest standard using appropriate references, images and any other information seen necessary.

Nominations are taken each month and the participants of the project, and other users, can add their support, objections or comments under the heading. At the end of the month, a winner is chosen in terms of number of support as opposed to objections.

The nomination process[edit]

This section outlines what you must need to do if you want to nominate an article. You can nominate three articles per month. Don't feel bad if your nominated article is not chosen as you can nominate it again in the next month's nominations!

You can use this template to create your nomination:

=== [[ARTICLE NAME HERE]] ===

Add a few sentences here of why you think this article should be chosen and what you believe should be done to the article. - ~~~~

;Support

;Oppose

;Comments

Add your nomination to the bottom of this page.

Here is an example of a nomination:

West Midlands[edit]

I believe this article needs to be expanded showing the different uses of the names and the differences between the three areas. Maps maybe included if others feel it is necessary. - Erebus555 19:16, 15 February 2007 (UTC)

Users can then add their name under the appropriate heading if they support or oppose the nomination and also add comments.

When an article is chosen, the nominations are archived here.

There are no rules to voting. You can support every nomination though this is not advised. Supporting means that you want this article to be selected for the improvement drive above all other articles.

May 2007[edit]

Knowle[edit]

I think it should be Solihull's turn. This article needs a cleanup (as noted by the tag). It needs more sections, expansions of current sections and some minor touches. - Erebus555 17:29, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

Oldbury, West Midlands[edit]

This article needs quite a bit of work. The infobox needs expanding, images needed, needs bringing up to the Manual of Style, needs references and needs information on geography and facilities etc.. - Erebus555 17:49, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

Kingswinford[edit]

This article has a lot of content but this could do with expansion. The structure needs tidying, images are needed, references, infobox and some general fixes. - Erebus555 14:30, 25 April 2007 (UTC)
