Welcome to Wikipedia Connection! We were a student organization from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, and were dedicated to exploring and contributing to Wikipedia.
It was fun while it lasted, but Wikipedia Connection has officially disbanded as of January 2020. Former members are still active, and Central Ohio still has plenty going on. Together we made Wikipedia Connection one of the longest running University Wikipedia Clubs in the United States. Thanks to everyone who was a part of WC@OSU!
As a university organization, some of our main functions to the university were:
Hosting regular on-campus presentations, discussions, and workshops.
Introducing students to Wikipedia and editing.
Keeping students informed about Wikipedia events.
Engaging in collaborative projects and events to improve Wikipedia.
If you have any questions or comments, feel free to post them on our discussion page. Feel free to leave a message with our last president, User:Blervis, if you have any questions or would like any advice!
Our next meeting is today, November 15th, at 6:00 P.M. in Room 344 of the 18th Avenue Library (same time and place as last meeting). Unfortunately, we cannot provide pizza at this meeting.
If you get stuck while editing Wikipedia, remember that Wikipedia Connection and the community can help. The Village Pump and editor assistance programs can connect you with someone more experienced in many topics.
