Welcome to Wikipedia Connection! We are a student organization from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, and we are dedicated to exploring and contributing to Wikipedia.
Our purpose is to serve as a resource for Ohio State students and staff interested in Wikipedia. We aim to explore how Wikipedia functions, and will provide guidance for those interested in editing Wikipedia (both inside the classroom and out). We hope to encourage Wikipedia editing through holding informational meetings, hosting collaborative projects, and supporting events that help Wikipedia grow.
As a university organization, some of our main functions to the university include:
Hosting regular on-campus presentations, discussions, and workshops.
Introducing students to Wikipedia and editing.
Keeping students informed about Wikipedia events.
Engaging in collaborative projects and events to improve Wikipedia.
If you have any questions or comments, feel free to post them on our discussion page, or e-mail mcmahon.230osu.edu. We're always looking to host collaborative events with others on Ohio State's campus.
Our next meeting is today, November 15th, at 6:00 P.M. in Room 344 of the 18th Avenue Library (same time and place as last meeting). Unfortunately, we cannot provide pizza at this meeting.
If you get stuck while editing Wikipedia, remember that Wikipedia Connection and the community can help. The Village Pump and editor assistance programs can connect you with someone more experienced in many topics.
