This page discusses possible acticle mergers.
Merger / Split Discussions[edit]
This page is designed for all current merger/split discussions. I feel it's best to keep a central point, where merges can be discussed, with reference to policy, while arguments being reasonable. On the subpage Wikipedia:WikiProject 24/Merger Discussions/Articles, is a list of currently merged articles. I'd ask that new merge discussions be added with a new heading, with 3 equals signs, and that editors be reasonable in their arguments. Guidelines[edit]
People who have been redirected here, a few issues have been raised in the past regarding mergers, so, here are a few general guidelines.
- While in determining consensus, a count may be roughly used, please note that this is not just a vote.
- Please try to have specfic arguments, as to for or against the merging/splitting of an article. Repeating the same argument multiple times can be unhelpful to discussions.
- As with AFD's please try to search for sources on the internet, before suggesting a merge. Likewise, if a split is proposed, try to find sources that will demonstrate notability.
Apart from these, please note the discussions are on content, not contributors, and personal attacks are strongly dissuaded. Thanks.
Discussions generally last until a clear consensus is determined. Additionally, as editors have been given a hard time over merging in the past, I've volunteered to perform the difficult ones. However, generally the content should be discussed before merging, to avoid cut and paste moves. Steve Crossin (talk) (review) 11:54, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

Well Lets get this ball rolling. It seems to me that this article is a clear candidate for merging. The character was not around for long in the overall scheme of the show. There are no third party sources and limited primary sources, The first being required to establish notability under WP:FICT. The biggest thing is though the article is only ten lines long, with 90% of that being a plot summary.--Lucy-marie (talk) 08:46, 3 September 2008 (UTC)

The majority of the article is just plot summery and fails to fulfill the criteria for a separate page under WP:notable and WP:fiction. The article also creates a disparity of information, with no reliable external third party sources.--Lucy-marie (talk) 16:02, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
