- Complete the online student orientation, Core Principles. During this training, you will create an account and learn the basic rules of Wikipedia.

- All students have Wikipedia user accounts and are listed on the course page.
- Research and list 3 articles on your Wikipedia sandbox that you will consider working on as your main project. Ask your instructor for comment.
Week 10: Selecting your article

- Select an article to work on. Add your article to the class’s course page.

- All students have started researching and drafting their article.
Week 11: Building articles

Week 12: Wikicoding

- As a group, students offer suggestions for improving one or two of the students' articles, setting the example for what is expected from a solid encyclopedia article.

- All articles have been reviewed by others. All students have reviewed articles by their classmates.
Week 14: Revision and citations
