I think makes an excellent example on this wiki of an excellent IP editor. I mean, he even got an RFA. Perhaps he can be added to this essay. nneonneotalk 05:46, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

Established users posing as unregistered IP addresses[edit]

Some WP users (and others) may correct typos etc without signing in.

The editor may be operating from work/elsewhere and not wish others there to know their WP identity.

Requesting clarification on "seemingly silly questions"/minor topics tangental to the editor's main areas (eg fanfic or "certain obscure practices")
