New "Roles" list![edit]

In an effort to increase member participation and joy-on-the-job, the Rick Riordan Task Force HR Department is proud to present Member Roles. These roles are open to any and all RRTF members, and are designed to help all Wikipedians (members and non-members alike) better understand each RRTF member's skills and specialties. Please see the new "/Roles" page for more info and to sign up! Criticism, comments, and suggestions are welcome below. -- 2ReinreB2 (talk) 02:14, 26 September 2016 (UTC)

HR Rep[edit]

I'm quickly informing WP:RRTF members that I've added myself as HR Rep in the task force. I believe I meet the requirements, and if you have any questions, feel free to discuss this on the talk page. Thanks! WikiPancake 📖 13:51, 27 September 2016 (UTC)

New parameters for RRinvite[edit]

The template Template:RRinvite has just been updated with two new parameters that allow RRTF members to customize the message delivered to taskforce invitees. Check out the documentation page for more information. -- 2ReinreB2 (talk) 18:16, 12 November 2016 (UTC)

Because I have been experimenting, there is now also a parameter to change the logo displayed with the message, currently with two options. If we like it, I can do this to other templates as well (within reason, of course). The important thing to note is that nothing has changed about the default template. You can still use it without any of the new parameters to generate the familiar message text and logo. Happy editing! -- 2ReinreB2 (talk) 05:30, 24 December 2016 (UTC)

Hammer of Thor[edit]

Evan though is in the alert box, when are we going to create an article for The Hammer of Thor.22mikpau (talk) 15:54, 17 December 2016 (UTC)

@22mikpau: The answer is: whenever someone has the time (the alert box is really just a suggestion). Step one is to use the Article wizard to create a draft (called "Draft:The Hammer of Thor"). Although there are other ways to create an article, this is the best option. Step two would then be to start working on the draft. It's helpful to post a notice about it here so other users can help out too, but that's up to the creator. Ultimately, step three will be to nominate it for AFC review, but it will take some time to get to that point.
The big thing is that The Hammer of Thor is currently not notable, although it should be in a couple of months. For the moment, a draft would just be for coming up with a plot summary and development information, and to start compiling references for an eventual "critical reception" section. Any editor is certainly welcome to get started on these things using their own personal sandbox. I hope this helps (and thank you for your question)! -- 2ReinreB2 (talk) 04:46, 18 December 2016 (UTC)
@22mikpau: I had some free time and created the draft. It is located here: Draft:The Hammer of Thor. Any member of the task force may edit it, and I will update the alert box. -- 2ReinreB2 (talk) 03:05, 21 December 2016 (UTC)

Copy edit in The House of Hades[edit]

Hello. I expanded the article, but as my English is not good, it needs to be reviewed. Any help is welcome. Thanks. Pedrohoneto (talk) 01:41, 27 March 2017 (UTC)

Thanks to Pedrohoneto, The House of Hades is now a good article nominee! RRTF members, if you are free, consider reviewing the page. If accepted, the page would be our fifth good article. The Son of Neptune, another one of our current GA's and from the same series, received roughly the same amount of traffic: 5,000 pageviews per month. I think this page has a good shot at being accepted, and having another GA would help to increase the taskforce's credibility among other WikiProjects. Go check it out! -- 2ReinreB2 (talk) 15:03, 17 April 2017 (UTC)
The article has been promoted. @2ReinreB2: Thank you very much for your help. Pedrohoneto (talk) 14:05, 5 May 2017 (UTC)
@Pedrohoneto: - It was my pleasure. Thank you for being willing to follow this through. -- 2ReinreB2 (talk) 19:31, 6 May 2017 (UTC)

New page about the PJ musical[edit]

The page The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical was recently created by a non-taskforce member, Lemaroto. Please check it out, and improve it if you get the chance. It is short and could use more references, but seems well-written so far. -- 2ReinreB2 (talk) 19:38, 6 May 2017 (UTC)

The Hidden Oracle[edit]

Hey, folks. I used Draft:The Hidden Oracle to create The Hidden Oracle. As the last time, a copy-edit is required. Feel free to improve the article. Hopefully, this will be our sixth good article. Thanks. Pedrohoneto (talk) 02:28, 14 May 2017 (UTC)

  • The page is now a Good Article Nominee. -- 2ReinreB2 (talk) 19:51, 21 May 2017 (UTC)
