@Igordebraga: unless my count is off, ejaculation and erection should have made it to the top 25. why were they excluded? ltbdl (talk) 03:10, 24 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

Does your count also adds .xxx and .xyz to the Top 25? This is an obvious case for the "anomalous entries (such as DDoS attacks or likely automated views)"! igordebraga 03:36, 24 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
unfortunately, these views are 100% human. ltbdl (talk) 03:42, 24 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
If only we still had boosts by r/til and Google Doodles rather than people doing this sort of thing on social media! I'll be forced to add entries, thought at least it won't enter the top 10. igordebraga 04:01, 24 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
hell, i'll write the commentaries if you want :) ltbdl (talk) 04:29, 24 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

Possible addenda for August 23 and 30 reports

[edit]

Hello,

Given that Elizabeth II brought her British family along to the WP:25 four years ago, I believe that it may be interesting for Wikipedia readers to compare how Harald V's death affects pageviews for the living Norwegian royals for these two weeks (Haakon VIII made the cut for August 23). Namely, these articles:

  1. Queen Sonja of Norway
  2. Princess Astrid, Mrs. Ferner
  3. Princess Märtha Louise of Norway
  4. Queen Mette-Marit of Norway
  5. Ingrid Alexandra, Crown Princess of Norway
  6. Prince Sverre Magnus of Norway

Thank you, AndrewPeterT (talk) (contribs) 18:18, 31 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

One related question: do the pageviews for Haakon VIII reflect the move from Haakon, Crown Prince of Norway? AndrewPeterT (talk) (contribs) 18:19, 31 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
They do, although I didn't put a footnote about the page move. But even if the Norwegian royal family got boosts they got far from entering like with the British royals or families like Bush, Fisher/Reynolds, Biden, and Osbourne scoring many entries (Queen Sonja got 200k views, for instance). igordebraga 02:08, 6 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
