For the Ratites wouldn't it make more sense to do all the familes, extinct or otherwise? Moa, Kiwi, Cassowary and Emu, Elephant birds, ostriches, rheas? Sabine's Sunbird talk 02:15, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

Number of FAs needed[edit]

Just a comment: only two FAs are necessary for topics with less than nine members. For the one proposed topic with more than nine members, Ratites, three FAs are needed. – Basar (talk · contribs) 03:19, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

Kiwi birds[edit]

Not to confuse the beautiful Bird category of species, the nice thing about the Kiwi bird is that it happens to live in a mammal niche. A lot of humans don't think in terms of Science, or refugiums, or some of the more esoteric stuff. With humans changing the planet as much as we are capable of, it is nice to realize that birds can be specially adapted, for example the kiwi living in a mammal ecosystem niche.
