Ian's bus stop

[edit]

What is the status of Ian's Bus Stop as a reliable source? Murgatroyd49 (talk) 17:01, 1 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Site says Ian does not pretend to be an expert. WP:SPS indicates not acceptable. Rcsprinter123 (face) 22:01, 1 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I thought so. Pity, there's some info on there I'd love to use and I haven't found it elsewhere. Murgatroyd49 (talk) 08:23, 2 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I've been examining http://www.busspotter.com/DMS/DMS1.htm - it doesn't agree with "Fleetbooks" from the 1970s and 1980s. In particular, Ian's Bus Stop suggests that the DMS were crew-operated and also that the D class were converted from the DMS class. In the Fleetbooks, it's clear that the D class were converted from the DM class, and that the DM clas swere crew-operated. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 22:51, 21 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
If you ask me, I'd say that while I do agree that the site is a enthusiast-oriented self-published source (with intermittent accessibility/downtime) the likes of Land Transport Guru, it is marginally more reliable than buslistsontheweb because at least Ian Smith lists his sources. Buslists, meanwhile? Who knows where the owner gets their info. My position is that Ian's Bus Stop can be a good 'last resort' source until something better and more verifiable can be found for the cited information. Proposed split of London Country North East

[edit]

An editor has requested that London Country North East be split into multiple pages, which may be of interest to this WikiProject. You are invited to participate in the split discussion. Hullian111 (talk) 19:34, 27 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

There is a requested move discussion at Talk:Bx18 (New York City bus)#Requested move 13 October 2025 that may be of interest to members of this WikiProject. --pro-anti-air ––>(talk)<–– 01:43, 21 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

This has been unsourced for 14 years, and tagged as such almost 4 years. Please add reliable sources, or could we suggest a deletion or redirect? Bearian (talk) 22:25, 19 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Seems like redirecting to a subsection of Bus#Design (which itself badly needs citations) would be sufficient. Pi.1415926535 (talk) 22:37, 19 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Redirect per above. Entirely unsourced. 162 etc. (talk) 22:44, 19 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
